Sally Hansen Spam!

Hello all! Got back from classes not long ago, and decided to do my Sally Hansen spam post today! I swatched all these last Wednesday. Wasn't a sunny day, but a cloudy day, hence all the pictures were taken indoors either with natural light or artificial light. I think these are the only Sally Hansen polishes I own. The last polish I tried from them was a prism? one and that was like ages ago.

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Polishes

Gray by Gray - blue gray creme. 2 coats. I love how it's not a true gray, with blue tones in it. Makes it unique.

Yellow Kitty - pale yellow creme. 3 coats. I first bought this only for the name, since I'm a huge Hello Kitty fan :D but I love this color as well. I love yellow cremes. Especially for those that apply like heaven.

Grass Slippers - lime green creme. 2 coats. Very interesting color, any green polish is already a plus for me.

Lagoon - blue/green metallic. 2 coats. Visible brush strokes as you can see. VERY similar to Sephora by OPI's Mermaid to Order (which I don't have) but from other swatches I've seen, SOPI one is better. Less brush strokes.

Sea and Be Seen - bluish purple shimmer. 2 coats. Very shimmery, interesting color.

Ring My Shell - pearly white with hints of lavender and some green. 2 coats. VERY gorgeous pearl. I love the slight duo-chrome in certain lights. I think I should've done an extra coat to have no visible nail line. But that's ok because this color is beautiful.

Dive Deeper - pale blue shimmer. 2 coats. Quite sheer as you can see. I didn't really like this one, but it looked so pretty in the bottle that I bought it. Ehhh, it happens xP

Midnight in NY - black creme with multicolored specks. 2 coats. Love the name (hello, I'm a New Yorker) :)

Hidden Treasure - clear base with flakies. FLAKIES!! I did two coats over Midnight in NY and I absolutely love it. I've been putting it over every color possible, and it just looks nice over any color. The flakies are flashes of green, orange, gold.

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Polishes

Spring Green - pale green creme with yellow base. 2 coats. Formula was a bit thick for me. These do dry pretty fast, but not as fast. You still have to give it a minute or two for the polish to settle in especially if you did more than one coat. Even though one coat was opaque, I did two out of habit. Uh is it just me or do my hands look like red crabby hands? O_o

Expres-So Yellow - pale yellow creme. 2 coats. Another yellow that applied streak free. Still till gloopy for me though!

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Nail Polishes

Green with Envy - yellow green creme. 2 coats. This collection has a normal brush which was what I am more comfortable with.

Lime Lights - sheer green pearl. 3 coats. Um, no offense, but ew. I didn't expect it to be THIS sheer. It looked gorgeous on the bottle. I should've tried it on my nails before I bought this one. Not too fond of it.

Going Green - a true green with shimmer. 2 coats. Wowee! I love this one. The green is a true green. The shimmers make it pretty. Only con about this one is STAINING. Though this one did not stain piss yellow like American Apparel's Green Malibu, this one literally stained my nails green. Took me awhile to get rid of the stain. -_- Totally Worth it though!

Sally Hansen HD Nail Polishes

DVD - sheer light purple with flashes of blue. 3 coats. Absolutely gorgeous color, need I say more?

Resolution - green with blue undertones and shimmer. 2 coats. I loved this one because in certain angles/lights you can see the blue. Which made it quite interesting.

Hi-Def - green frost? 2 coats. It's a tad sheer. I didn't like this one either. Don't know why I bought it, I guess because it was green. Sigh, how typical of me.

Phew, finally done. I hope this was helpful too all. Sally Hansen polishes can be found in most local drugstores, however, a few are already gone; such as Tracy Reese's Complete Salon Manicure Collections, DVD and Resolution. Those are the few I don't see at drugstores anymore. The others I still see around.

Ok, so this is all I have for today. I'll have a random spam post either by the end of this week or maybe even earlier.

More American Apparel Nail Polishes

Greetings all! I just got back from the Sephora at Times Square for the Book of Shadows Vol III. I had fun there, got samples and everybody was so nice and friendly. Line was around the corner, but it moved by pretty fast. I'm glad I bought it!

So today I have more American Apparel nail polishes. These are the newer ones. I received them from my friend as a birthday gift. She knows my love for nail polishes lol

But anyways here are the swatches.

Le Spirit - lavendar creme. 2 coats. My camera make it looks baby blue. Very typical of my dumb camera. Always capturing purples as blues! Grr!!

Green Malibu - greenish turquoise creme. 2 coats. This one stained the beejeezus out of my nails. You'd think it stained green, no it stained yellow. Like piss yellow. Disgusting. Other than that colors nice.

Butter - soft pastel yellow creme. 2 coats. Love it!

Application was decent. Not thick at all, very opaque. Applied pretty smooth I must say.

So that is all I have for today, school starts for me tomorrow. Yes on Sunday. I have Sunday classes from 3:30 - 6:30. SIGH.....

MAC Alice + Olivia Nail Lacquers

Hey loves! Today I have the three nail polishes from the MAC Alice + Olivia collections. I was going to pass on these, but the more I saw them appearing on other blogs, the more lemmings I had for them. And so I went out and bought them!

So Rich So Pretty - a magenta purple shimmer. 2 coats. This one is pretty. Definitely a lot better in person because it's more darker with this mysterious magenta glow and hint of purple.

Morning After - teal creme. 2 coats. After seeing it on the MAC sales lady, I told myself I'm glad I'm getting it. Again, it's nothing like the pictures. Here you just see a boring teal creme. But in person the teal is more vivid and a tad darker than this but not too dark. Kind of hard to explain. I wish my dumb camera could capture the true colors -_-

Military - black matte shimmer. 2 coats. Ah another charcoal black matte. Why didn't I pass on it? I thought I give MAC matte a try. Wasn't too bad. Was a little thick, but I've worked with worse. Not really much complaints.

Not too sure if this collection is still out anywhere. I know it's sold out online but I'm not quite sure about other websites.

That's all I have for today. School starts in 6 days for me.. wahhhhhh :'(

MISA Black Out Collection

Hi all, today I have MISA's Black Out collection to share. This collection was out unbeknown. I was browsing around Head2toebeauty.com and saw this and I was like huh? And ended up ordering it anyway.

These all dried as matte. Not your true matte, but a rubbery matte.

Total Eclipse of the Heart - light purple creme. 2 coats. My picture shows more blue than purple which is not how it is in person. Totally bought it because of the name.

It's Electric - vivid blue creme. 2 coats

Black Out - black creme. 2 coats.

I didn't put any top coats on these because I kinda liked the rubbery matte look. These were a little thick, but no surprise because most of MISA's nail polishes are like that. They were very opaque, one coat got full coverage, but I did two just because I wanted to haha

These dried fast but was a little annoying because of the bubbles. Colors are dupe-able so you can skip this collection if you have similar colors. I'm just sayin'.

And that is all I have for today!

KnockOut Matte Nail Polish

Hey all! Sorry for the lack of updates, but I'm working on it! Today I have for you KnockOut matte nail polishes. I laid my eyes on these sometimes a year or two ago when I first saw them. While browsing around beauty.com one day I saw them and quickly ordered them. Though they are $19; which is quite pricey in my book. Hence, I can only afford two. lol

Liberty - turquoise matte. 2 coats

Flatte Black - black matte. 2 coats

I applied NailTek Foundation II as a base coat (basically what I use for matte nail polishes) These look really matte in real life which I like, especially the black. As you all know KO nail polish bottles are extremely "tall" compared to regular size polishes. It was a little hard to get use to with the long handle. It was as if I was using a pen or something. Application was decent. They dried pretty fast and looked pretty cool.

Worth $19? No. Pretty? Yes.

That is all I have for today!

ManGlaze Matte Nail Polish

Morning all! I took off today because I was feeling lazy =X

I finally got the chance to try ManGlaze polishes. I've been wanting to try these since last year but never ordered them. I finally did in April, and I finally tried them out, and I am in love with them. By far the best matte's out there.

What I love most about these are the bottles, the art work is so cool!

Matte is Murder - black matte shimmer. 2 coats. Applied like perfection.

Fuggen Ugly - charcoal steel gray matte. 2 coats. Looks flawless doesn't it? That's because it is!

Hot Mess - silver glitter matte top coat. 2 coats. This would be best over color which would look fabulous in almost anything.

I haven't tried Matte-Astrophe yet. But I did read that it gives a crackle affect when applied to wet polish! I can't wait to try that out.

These are perfect application mattes. Not to mention they last quite awhile too. I've had Fuggen Ugly on my nails for 3 days, been to the beach and all and they were still perfectly on my nails. Would've had it on longer but nail polish on my nails more than 2 days must means something :)

That is all I have for today!!

Deborah Lippmann's Bad Romance & Across The Universe

Ahh, Deborah Lippmann did it again with the sequin glitters and all that. I loved the All That Jazz collection, and all the other sequin glitter polishes Lippmann has out. Can never get enough :)

Bad Romance - black jelly base with fuchsia glitters. 3 coats. Very pretty.

Across The Universe - dark blue base with blue/green glitters. 2 coats. LOVE!

Formulas for these were pretty good. No troubles, only had troubles with getting some sequins on the nails, but that's not biggie. It was a bit hard for me to remove though. Sigh, but I guess must suffer the consequences of having super glittery polishes.

So what do you guys think of these two? Worth the price? Will you be getting these?

Chanel Noir Et Or Paris-Shanghai Collection

Hello all! Today I have for you Chanel's Noir Et Or Paris-Shanghai Collection, which came out in April.. 3 months later I finally have swatches for you. These were sold out at one point, but I see them all back in stock on Chanel.com

These Chanel's cost $25 a bottle. I can't believe I was crazy enough to spend so much on this collection. But whatever, that's what happens when you love nail polish and can't get enough.

Gold Lamé - golden yellow metallic. 3 coats. Visible brush strokes, but that's typical for metallics.

Black Velvet - black satin creme. 2 coats. It dries off with this rubber-like textured which is pretty cool. And shockingly the application was so smooth and opaque. Most of the time, Chanel polishes have slight application problems for me so this one surprised me. And not to mention the bottle looks pretty cool xD

Illusion D'or - 1 coat over black velvet. I didn't do a swatch of this alone because its sheer so that's pointless. But I love the gold glitters, and the random blue/purple-ish flakie. Makes it look super cool.

I did this mani for my vacation, before it all broke. So here's a different picture with shorter nails. I decided to do the mani again because I loved the look.

And that is all I have for today! Enjoy your weekend!

Rescue Beauty Lounge, MAC, & Chanel

Greetings all! I am back from my mini vacation. Well I've been back since Saturday, but I went straight back to work, and I took off today for a personal matter. So about my vacation, I went to Lake George. It was good to be away from the city for 4 days. I had a very good and relaxing time. Went water rafting, and drove a boat for the first time :)

So during the trip my finally long nails broke. Three of them, so I was forced to cut them all to make it even. I have a few swatches done prior to the trip, so you will still see my long nails for now.

Today I have Rescue Beauty Lounge's Surf's Up Collection, MAC In The Buff from To The Beach Collection, and Chanel's Paradoxal from their Fall 2010 collection. Decided to put it all in one post rather then have them all scattered hehe

First up:

Rescue Beauty Lounge Surf's Up Collection

Diddy Mow - grayish green with silver flecks. 2 coats

Bangin' - bright red creme. 2 coats. Totally opaque in 1 coat though. I was a little iffy about getting this one because spending $18 on a red creme is just totally blah in my opinion. But I guess it's a nice red creme. I think I will use these on my toes!

360 - grayish blue creme. 2 coats.

It seems like 360 and Diddy Mow have all gray tones to it which is pretty interesting. I love Rescue Beauty Lounge's polishes, but I don't like the price. However, their formula is very close to perfect. I mean some drugstore brand polishes applies like heaven too even with a cheap price, so I can't really argue the term "You get what you pay for" or something along those lines -_- I already pre-ordered the fall collection from RBL "The Real Housewives of Tudor Dynasty" can't wait for those babies to come!

Next up is MAC's In The Buff from To the Beach collection:

In The Buff - beige olive creme. Very hard to describe this color. Nobody I know liked this color, but myself. I thought it was very unique, and strange color. I like it a lot. This was 3 coats.

And finally, the most anticipated Chanel's Paradoxal.

Paradoxal - taupe, purple, gray, brown shimmer. 3 coats. Definitely a chameleon. Changes in all different sorts of lights.

Paradoxal shown with flash to show the purple shimmer.

Gorgeous color. I loved it. Just didn't think it was worth $23. Formula was so-so. Didn't apply perfectly. It's like your typical Chanel polishes which are a little thick. Plus this didn't even last me a day. It started chipping at the end of the day. I guess it's good to have? I really like this color though because it's very unique.

I also ordered OPI's Swiss Collection, Zoya's Wonderful & Wicked collection, China Glaze's Vintage Vixen collection, Misa's What I Like About You collection, and ORLY's Plastix collection. I am gonna have fun swatching all of those xD

Well that is all I have for today, I think I'm going shopping today to enjoy myself even more :)
