Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Glass Slipper

Today I have Sally Hansen's Diamond Strength in Glass Slipper to share with you guys. I was browsing around Duane Reade one day and stumbled by a new collection of Diamond Strength in new bottle shapes! Nothing really attracted my eyes but Glass Slipper!

Glass Slipper over black. Glass slipper is a silver white flakie in variety of shapes. I really hope Sally Hansen makes more flakies in the future since Treasure Island was such a beautiful flakie.

Since this was a top coat, it was no trouble to apply at all. I think this would've looked more gorgeous over a white. Maybe I will try that next time! I can't really remember the price I paid it probably ranges somewhere from $4-$6. But it was sure worth it since I don't have anything like this.

Zoya True Collection and Fleck Effect Collection for Spring 2012

Today I have the Zoya True Collection and Fleck Effect Collection for Spring 2012 to share with you guys. Zoya came out with six gorgeous shades for the Spring with three cremes, and three gorgeous shimmers. Along with the True Collection, is the Fleck Effect collection which consists of three flakies! That's right FLAKIES!

Cho is a gorgeous yellow toned beige creme. 3 coats. I can't help but to think of Harry Potter and Cho with this name :)

Farah is a tan beige creme. 2 coats. I love the look of this one because it is very neutral and it has this unique shade on it.

Bevin is a smokey turquoise green creme. 2 coats. I love this musky like look of polishes, where the color isn't vivid but it still stands out.

Skylar is a slate blue with gold and silver shimmers. 2 coats. How gorgeous is Skylar?! I love how you can see both the gold and silver shimmer.

Tru is a purple base with gold shimmers. 2 coats. Tru has a true purple look to it (you see what I did there? har har har) And I was quite surprised I was able to capture it on camera since purples usually translate into blues in pictures.

Lotus is a dusty purple with pink shimmers. 2 coats. I love this one! I think pink and purple goes really well together.

The True collection is the perfect collection to welcome the Spring season. There wasn't a single color I didn't like. The formula is the typical Zoya formula which applied flawlessly. Only Cho needed three coats, under two coats my nail line was still visible and I didn't really like that. Nevertheless, the collection is simply gorgeous!

Now let's have a look at the Fleck Effect Collection!

I am a true flakie fan, so I was super excited to see that Zoya was making flakies! These were a little on the thick side, but being that it's a top coat that's not an issue for me. I know we've seen plenty of green flakies and orange flakies, but this is from Zoya!

Overall, I am quite satisfy with the collections. I can't pick favorites because they're all gorgeous. I love the shimmers the most!

Wet n Wild

Hi all, I know I haven't updated in a week, and I've been slacking lately. But don't worry, I'll have a few posts scheduled for this week! I do apologize for the lack of update though!

Today I have a new Wet n Wild Megalast in On a Trip to share with you guys! I stumbled on these while I was browsing around Duane Reade. I seem to stalk Duane Read a lot now since they have GOSH cosmetics now!

Anyways, I only bought one color since the other colors seem dupeable.

On A Trip is a bright purple creme. 2 coats. This reminds me a little of Color Club's Puccilicious. It may or may not be a dupe, I shall browse my stash to see if I can do a comparison.

What's amazing about this polish is that it's only $1.99 and the formula is very opaque. It's a tad thick but totally workable. The brush is really wide and thick so that made application quite easy. On my pinky, it literally took one swipe and my whole pinky was covered (I have a very tiny pinky). It was opaque in one coat, but I did two to even it out. I'm tempted to buy the other colors but I'm trying to not spend so much!

Here's a picture of the brush. It is kind of like the the Sally Hansen brushes but I feel these are a little bit more thick and wide.

Happy Chinese New Year! Year of the Dragon!

Happy Chinese new year to those who celebrate it! May the year of the dragon bring all luck, happiness, and prosperity!

I didn't have much time to do any crazy nail art so I decided to keep it simple with the tradition colors of red and gold.

I used Nicole by OPI's Not a Gold Bigger from the Justin Bieber collection, and OPI's Red Shatter over it.

I think it turned out pretty good but I feel that I should've done a red base with gold shatter instead. Nevertheless, I still like the results of it.

And to end this post, here's a picture of Bebe in her Chinese style outfit!

She doesn't seem too excited about the outfit, but whenever I bring the camera out she always have a pose where she looks like she's doing the -_- face haha it's so cute though!

Nicole by OPI Justin Bieber One Less Lonely Girl Collection

Hi everyone! Today I have Nicole by OPI Justin Bieber's One Less Lonely Girl Collection to share with you guys. I believe this collection came out last Spring, but I honestly do not remember. I had this collection for awhile but never touched it. I only bought it because there were some interesting colors and it was a flash sale. I am not really a huge fan of Justin Bieber (please do not attack me!) I just thought he's overrated, and once he hits puberty (which he is right now) his voice will change, and he'll just be like another Jesse McCartney =X Nevertheless, it's still nail polish, so I still bought them!

Redy to Runaway Love? is a bright red creme. 2 coats

I'm a Belieber is a gorgeous light purple creme. 2 coats

"Baby" Blue is a baby blue creme, well I guess the name suits it right. I think baby is quoted because of his song. 2 coats

My Lifesaver is a mint green creme. 2 coats

Make U Smile is a mix of silver glitters, and hex glitters in a clear base. Here is seen 1 coat over My Lifesaver.

One Less Lonely Glitter is a mix of purple micro glitters, and slightly bigger round glitters. A bit sheer, this was 3 coats.

Me + Blue is a blue shimmer with silver flecks on it. 2 coats.

Prized Possession Purple is a royal purple with a slight pearl finish. 2 coats.

Give Me the 1st Dance is metallic silver with foil like finish. 2 coats

OMB! is a red shimmer with glass flecks. 2 coats

I've Got Bieber Fever is a dark purple with slight shimmers. 2 coats

Step 2 the Beat of My <3 is a holo glitters with chunky purple holo hearts in a clear base. Here seen 1 coat over I've Got Bieber Fever. The hearts were pretty hard to pick up, had to use a toothpick.

Not a Gold Bigger is a gorgeous gold shimmer with a slight metallic look to it. 2 coats.

One Time Lime is a lime green creme. 2 coats

Whew, that's a lot of polishes in one collection. The formula for these were excellent. They all applied evenly with no problems at all. I had a few favorites in this collection. And it's too much to name. But there wasn't really any polishes I didn't like, so I was kind of glad I got this collection.

Finger Paints Special Effects

Hi all, I know I haven't wrote a post in awhile, and I want to apologize for that. Today I have Finger Paints' Special Effects to share with you. This collection consists of five flakie top coats. I can see that flakes will be a trend for nail polishes in 2012; and that is quite exciting. I was able to purchase all five at my local Sally Beauty for $5.49 each. I did them all over black to show the flakes.

Twisted happens to be my favorite one of the bunch. It's a mix of yellow, green, orange, blue flakies. This is one coat over black.

Motley is a blue, aqua and green flakie. This was two coat over black since with one coat you can barely see the green.

Flecked is a green flakie. This is one coat over black.

Flashy is an orange flakie with flashes of green flakies. One coat over black.

Asylum is a blue purple, orange, and green flakie. Kind of similar to Twisted but Asylum does not cover much with just one coat. It reminds me of Deborah Lippmann's Edge of Glory duo. It may be a dupe, and I will definitely do a comparison between the two. This is one coat over black.

We've seen a lot of blue green flakies, and orange green flakies, but Asylum and Twisted is pretty unique in it's own way. The formula for these were good, perfect and applied smoothly over the black. Will definitely experiment with these and put it over other colors.

Sally Hansen Gem Crush Showgirl Chic

Today I have Sally Hansen's Gem Crush Showgirl Chic to share with you. The rest of the collection consists of all glitters. And I hate to admit this, but the past month we had so many glitter releases that I am beginning to get tired of it (that's why I didn't buy the other ones). Not that I am completely tired of it, I'd love to see more, but in different varieties (such as this one). I skipped out on the rest, and only bought Showgirl Chic which is the only one that caught my eye.

Showgirl Chic is a silver micro-glitter with round royal blue glitters. 2 coats.

The formula was a bit thick, and that's expected for glitters like this. I didn't have much problems applying it though. It went on pretty smooth for me. And only one coat of top coat was needed. I found this at my local Duane Reade, I think it was for $5.49 a bottle but I don't really remember.

Etude House Dear Darling Bling Bling (Glitters!)

Hi everyone! Holidays are over, and it's back to reality! I may sound chipper about it but I'm really not :P Today I have another brand from Korea to share with you guys. It's called Etude House and it's supposedly a very well known brand in Korea and so I decided to try it for myself. I ordered it along with my Tony Moly's.

WH020 aka Extreme Jewel is a mix of purple silver glitters, packed with multi-colored, and holo glitters in a clear base. This was 3 coats.

BL019 aka Extreme Blue is a blue glitter mixed with gold, silver, and holo glitters in a sheer blue jelly like base. 2 coats

PK021 aka Extreme Rose is a pink glitter mixed with aqua, gold, and holo glitters with a sheer pink jelly like base. 2 coats.

Now what's amazing about these polishes are the different shapes of the glitters. It's a mix of round glitters, and hex glitters, a few micro-glitters as well.

I ordered these on eBay, if you want to know the seller information you may contact me through e-mail or twitter. I tend to not post seller information in case one of my readers get a bad experience and blame it on me (believe me, it happened to me before). So please buy at your own risk!

I took a macro shot of the bottles and added extra brightness to it just to show the glitters.

Another plus about these polishes is that the bottles are pretty cute!

I also took pictures of the bottle to test out my DIY lightbox, and I'm satisfied with the results!

The formula for these were pretty good. It leans more toward the thick side, but nothing too hard to work with. I only had a hard time with Extreme Jewel because it was in a clear base. The solution was to wait a few minutes before applying next coat, just like most glitter polishes. One great thing about Korea brand polishes is that they don't have that typical polish smell. It didn't smell bad, but it didn't smell like roses either. Dry time was pretty fast as well. One coat of top coat smoothed out any gritty glitter feelings.

I would definitely buy Etude polishes again if more colors catches my attention!

Deborah Lippmann for Gaga's Workshop Edge of Glory

Happy New Years Eve! Today I have the infamous Deborah Lippmann for Gaga's Workshop the Edge of Glory two step 3D holographic set. This set was made exclusively for the workshop in Barneys. It retails for $45 and is still available at the Barneys website.

Normally, I would not spend $45 on a set of polishes that can be easily dupeable, but I knew I would regret it if I don't buy it and if it ever goes out of stock. But I didn't do it for that reason, the other reason is that it's also for charity. Here's a little information about Gaga's workshop:

A unique collaboration with Lady Gaga, the campaign brings together renowned creative talents
including artists Eli Sudbrack and Christophe Hamaide Pierson of assume vivid astro focus (avaf)
and Mugler Creative Director and Lady Gaga Fashion Director, Nicola Formichetti, to create
Lady Gaga’s interpretation of the iconic Santa’s Workshop.

For the first time ever, Barneys New York will convert an entire floor of its Madison Avenue flagship
in New York City into a dedicated space for this holiday initiative. Working with the Barneys New York

I know a lot of you are thinking that $45 for these two is crazy, but you know it was for a good cause, and I'm happy with the polishes, so it's a win-win situation! There may or may not be a dupe coming out from Finger Paints Special Effects, if I ever get my hands on them, I will do a comparison for you guys!

Models Own Beetlejuice Collection

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice!

Beetlejuice is one of my favorite films growing up (even though I was petrified of him). I was very excited to hear that Models Own is coming out with a collection called Beetlejuice and have duochromes! I was unfortunate to miss out when it first released, so I waited for the box set to be back in stock before purchasing. This is my first time trying Models Own polishes!

Pinky Brown is a dark pink, orange, and brown multi-chrome with glass fleck finish. 3 coats.

Here is more of the brown color in different angle/lighting.

Golden Green is an olive green with flashes of gold. 2 coats. I don't know if my top coat is to blame for the bubbling of this one because I used the same top coat over the others and it didn't bubble like that!

Aqua Violet is a blue and violet duochrome. 2 coats. This one is my favorite. I caught so much attention with this polish, and a salesperson in Macy's even asked me where she can get it!

It's quite similar to Deborah Lippmann's Money Now Sleep Later but not duplicate of it. I will definitely do a comparison of the two once I have time!

Emerald Black is a blackened green shimmer. 2 coats.

Purple Blue is a purple, blue, and fuchsia multi-chrome with glass fleck finish. 3 coats. This one was quite hard to capture in photos, I tried my best and it's as accurate as I can get.

Here it is in low lighting, which shows the duochrome.

The formula for these were decent. They were a little thick for me, but nothing too hard to work with. My first time trying Models Own polishes and I am not disappointed at all, especially with the colors! These are available at Models Own website. They ship from the UK, so after shipping and everything, the total came out to about $50 USD a little less. Which I think is decent priced for five polishes. It also came with a top coat that I have yet to try.

MAC Festive Finery and Unconditionally Fabulous

While browsing through my pictures, I realized these two were never posted when it should've been posted in the beginning of the month! MAC Festive Finery and Unconditionally Fabulous came from the Glitter & Ice collection. Aside from a lipstick, these two polishes were the only items purchased from the collection.

Festive Finery is a plum brown creme. 2 coats. This color is very hard to describe, it's kind of a dusty like purple, with a mix of taupe and gray.

Unconditionally Fabulous is a round holo glitter in a clear base. In the picture I did it over Festive Finery. I heard this is very similar to Deborah Lippmann's Stairway to Heaven, and China Glaze Snow Globe, I wouldn't know because I don't own any of the two (yet!).

The formula for these were pretty good. Festive Finery applied very evenly and smooth. I remember I used to dislike MAC polishes because the formula was so streaky, I am happy they have improved! The only downside to these is that they retail for $16 per bottle, and they are still available today at the MAC website.

Nails Inc. Flakies

Hey all! Keeping my promise of having a post every day, until the new year! Today I have three sets from Nails Inc to share with you guys. The three sets consists of one creme color and one flakie top coat! Yes FLAKIES! Let's have a look!

The Old Vic Collection

Patent Black Taxi is a black creme. 1 coat, no top coat

The Old Vic Overglaze Top Coat is a blue flakie, done over Patent Black Taxi.

The Wyndham Collection

Teal Black Kensington is blackened teal. 1 coat, no top coat.

The Wyndham Overglaze top coat is a lime green flakie, done over Teal Black Kensington.

The Donmar Collection

Plum Black Chelsea is a blackened red creme, 1 coat, no top coat. Apparently this one wasn't as opaque as the others, and I didn't realize that until I took the pictures. Oops! ^_^

The Donmar Overglaze top coat is a orange and green flakie, done over Plum Black Chelsea.

I think the nail polish Gods are listening to us Fanatic's prayers. We're getting so much flakies! With this and the new Finger Paint Special Effects? This is so exciting!

The formula for these were pretty good. The flakies applied pretty well with one coat. They retail for $20 per set and is available at Sephora. I just wished they sold the flakie top coats on its own instead of in a set. The three creme's I would've definitely skipped because they are easily dupeable. We can never get enough of flakies, keep 'em coming!

Deborah Lippmann Barney Exclusives

Today I have Deborah Lippmann's Money Now Sleep Later and The Future Is Yours, which are exclusives to Barneys. I didn't even know this even existed if I wasn't browsing around for the Edge of Glory holographic polish (which will be reviewed soon).

Money Now Sleep Later is a duochrome of teal aqua and purple with a slight metallic finish. 3 coats.

Money Now Sleep Later reminded me of Wicked Game but the teal and purple version!

This picture shows more of the duochrome, here you can see a slight green hint to the aqua color.

The Future Is Yours is a sheer duochrome of lavender and iredescent blue. 4 coats.

The Future Is Yours over black. Now that's amazing! Look at how the color just pops out over black. It's a little similar to Money Now Sleep Later with a more deep color.

Deborah Lippmann polishes always have good formula, this applied evenly. But since they have a slight metallic finish, there were visible brush strokes but that vanished a little after a top coat was added.

I love both of these and I thought it was worth every penny. The sad news is I don't see these on Barney's website anymore. I don't know if it's still available in stores, so if you do want this I hope it's still available in stores!

Tony Moly Nail Polish Galaxy GT Line Collection

Today I have a brand of polish from South Korea that is pretty well known already, Tony Moly. The collection is called the Galaxy GT Line and it is a total glitter bomb collection (perhaps that's the reason it's well known here in the U.S). I was able to purchase these on eBay. There are multiple sellers selling these polishes, just read their feedbacks to make sure they are legit.

GT01 Mercury has silver, red, and blue glitters in a charcoal base. 2 coats

GT02 Earth has a mix of light blue and grey micro glitters mixed with larger pink glitters in a blueish black base. 2 coats.

GT03 Mars has light brown and orange micro glitters infused with larger copper glitters in a dark brown base. 2 coats.

GT04 Neptune has some silver, green and yellow green glitters in a dark green base. 2 coats.

GT05 Jupiter has orange and purple micro glitters mixed with blue and green glitters in a purple base. 2 coats.

The formula for these were a little thick, but that's expected of glitters. But they were quite opaque in one coat, but I added an additional coat to even it out. Interestingly enough, these don't have a huge nail polish scent like most polishes do. I can't really describe the smell to you, as that is quite a challenge for me. All these have one coat of top coat over them, and that was enough to smooth things out. It wasn't bumpy and gritty like all other glitter polishes.

These are extremely glittery. If you're a glitter fan like I am, you would not regret ordering these. They're great for your collection (in my opinion)

Merry Christmas all! I wish everyone a wonderful holiday! Hope everyone's Christmas is filled with love, happiness, and joy! Also hope you guys received everything on your wishlist :)

Today I have three nail art to share! I couldn't stick with one, and decided to do three. Let's have a look!

First one is penguins with Santa hats! My penguins didn't turned out the way I really wanted them to look. I kind of messed up on the eyes, therefore I call them my stunned penguins!

Second one is candy cane inspired nails! I decided to do them as tips, and a whole look on the ring finger.

And finally I was browsing YouTube and ended up on a Christmas Gift wrap nail from misschievous. And you can view her tutorial here. Instead of using round rhinestones, I used star shaped rhinestones.

I really loved the Christmas gift wrap one, but the rhinestone kind of gets in the way of things, and it actually gave me a tiny cut on my arm when I was fixing my sleeves. I just wished my penguins turned out looking cute instead of stunned lol.

Zoya Feel Collection Swatches & Review

Hey all! I'm off from work for a week so I'll have time to catch up! Today I have Zoya's Feel collection to share with you guys. The Feel collection consists of 6 soft shades, quite perfect for the Winter feel and look.

Kristen is a soft light blue mixed with gray creme. 2 coats

Carey is a grey creme that has slight lavender hint to it. 2 coats.

Megan is a pastel lavender creme. 2 coats.

Kendal is a dusty purple pink grey mixed creme. 2 coats.

Kennedy is a light rosey creme. 2 coats.

Avery is a beige creme. 2 coats.

The formula for these were excellent. They were very creamy and applies so smooth. They are also opaque with just two coats. The colors are pretty and not your average dark winter colors which I like!

I'm a big fan of cremes so I loved this whole collection. My favorite is Kristen!

Hello Kitty Noir Collection Nail Lacquers

Today I have the nail lacquers from the Hello Kitty Noir Collection to share with you guys. These are available at Sephora, retailing at $10 a bottle. I got these during their Friends and Family discount :)

Red Sparkle is red glitter with flashes of gold. 3 coats

Gold Star is gold micro glitters. 3 coats

Night Sparkle is a blackened olive green shimmer. 2 coats

Silver Star is a dark silver glitter with big round holographic glitters. 3 coats.

The formula for these were pretty good. I couldn't help but love the bottles. I find it absolutely adorable. For glitters they were pretty smooth, only one coat of top coat was required. My favorite is actually Gold Star. Even though it's not unique (I mean how many gold glitters do we have/know) there's something about it that caught my attention.

I'm not super impressed with the nail polishes for this collection, but I absolutely love the palettes and the brush sets. But being the Hello Kitty fanatic I am, I had to have these.

Glitters from the Sephora by OPI Glimmer Wonderland Collection

Hey all! I know I've been slacking on the updates and everything, but my family from Venezuela just moved here to New York and they don't speak a word of English. I've been running around helping them with errands and getting them settled so I've been quite busy. But anyways, today I have four glitters from the Sephora by OPI Glimmer Wonderland Collection. I decided to get only the glitters because it's the only ones that caught my eyes.

Don't Be Eggnog-ious is a mix of copper glitter and big glitters in a clear base. 3 coats

Be-Claus I Said So is a mix of red glitters with a few big glitters in a clear base. 3 coats.

Sugar Plum Fairies Gone Wild is a lavender glitter and big glitters in a clear base. 3 coats (the name totally makes me laugh)

Good Tidings We Bling! is a mix of red and green glitters with big glitters in a clear base. 3 coats.

Here are they over white, from left to right, Good Tidings We Bling!, Sugar Plum Fairies Gone Wild, Be-Claus I Said So, and Don't Be Eggnog-ious

I love how they look over white, especially Sugar Plum Fairies and Good Tidings We Bling! The formula were good for them. Since they were in a clear base, it was a bit hard to reach opacity for each. Three coats did the job for all of them except for GTWB. I liked all four of them and it was a bit hard to choose a favorite. Overall, these are great glitters for the holidays and also make great stocking stuffers! ;)

Color Club Beyond the Mistletoe Collection Swatches & Review

Hey all! Can you believe Christmas is like only a few weeks away?! I'm not prepared whatsoever, but I'm actually excited since it is one of my favorite holidays. Today I have Color Club's Beyond the Mistletoe to share with you guys. This holiday collection consists of six glitters.

Gingerbread is a gold glitter mixed with multicolored glitters in a clear base. This required 3 coats for full coverage.

Candy Cane is a mix of fuchsia, pink, and purple glitters with clear base. 3 coats.

Holiday Splendor is a sheer jelly green base with holographic glitters. 3 coats.

Sugarplum Fairy is a silver purple glitter packed with holographic glitters in clear coat. 3 coats

Jingle Jingle is a mix of blue, purple, and pink glitters in a clear base coat. 3 coats

Beyond the Mistletoe is a silver green glitter mixed with holographic glitters. 3 coats.

The formula for these were pretty thick, but that's kind of expected of glitters in base coats. These eat up top coats, so two coats of top coat was required for a smoother texture. They all needed 3 coats for full coverage. I think these will make good top coats as well. You really have to wait for each coat to dry in order to avoid the balding of the glitters. I was really looking forward to this collection because of the glitters, but I'm slightly disappointed. I do however love Sugarplum Fairy. It was serious glitter bomb, and not to mention the holographic glitters makes it uber shiny and glittery!

Overall, this collection was a so-so to me. I wasn't impressed but I wasn't disappointed as well. They're very festive on your nails!

Happy Monday! Today I have Nicole by OPI Kardashian Kolors Collection to share. This collection consists of 14 polishes with a mix of glitters, shimmers, and cremes!

Rainbow in the S-Kylie is a rainbow mix of big hex glitters and small glitters in a clear base. This was 3 coats. It's pretty much a dupe to Rainbow Connection.

Disco Dolls is a gold glitter mixed with multicolored glitters. 3 coats. Very interesting, I like!

Kendall on the Katwalk is a blue silver glitter with a sheer blue base. 2 coats

Wear Something Spar-Kylie is a pink and silver glitter with a sheer jelly like pink base. 3 coats.

Follow Me on Glitter is a charcoal silver glitter mixed with multicolored glitters. 3 coats. The multicolor glitters are not as visible here as Disco Dolls.

It's All About the Glame is a pearly white creme with hints of silver shimmer. 3 coats. I like this one because it looks pretty elegant.

Kim-pletely in Love is a baby pink creme with hints of white-ish silver shimmer. 3 coats

Listen to Your Momager is a royal blue shimmer. 2 coats

Kourt is Red-y for a Pedi is a orange red creme. 2 coats.

Sealed with a Kris is a dark brick red creme. 2 coats.

Hard Kourt Fashionita is a dark brown creme. 2 coats.

My Empire..My Rules is a light tan brown gray creme. 2 coats

All Kendall-ed Up is a bright barbie pink creme. 2 coats

Khloe Had a Little Lam-Lam is a dark teal creme. 2 coats.

The formula for these were great, they all applied smoothly and even with no complaints. The cremes were pretty opaque with just two coats. The glitters weren't hard to work with. As for the colors, there are some hits and misses. Some are easily dupeable and some are just plain boring. But I did have a few favorites, such as Khloe Had a Little Lam-Lam, Disco Dolls, and It's All About the Glam. Overall, the collection is not bad. The only thing I didn't like were the names, no offense, but they were a bit...corny. But sometimes, it's mostly the color that counts! :D

Color Club Foiled Collection Swatches & Review

Thanksgiving is tomorrow! So I just want to wish everyone a great Thanksgiving! Also wanted to say that I'm thankful for my family, my wonderful dog, my amazing boyfriend, my great friends, and for my new job. I am also thankful to have met so many wonderful bloggers that share the same love and interest as me, you ladies know who you are! I am super thankful to have lovely readers, without you, this blog wouldn't exist! So thank you everyone for reading and following my blog, I truly appreciate it!

Today I have Color Club's Foiled collection to share with you. The foiled collection consists of 6 polishes with foil finish.

Cold Metal is a sapphire blue foil. 2 coats. This blue is insane, the color is so vivid and so out there.

Hot Like Lava is a fuchsia pink foil. 2 coats. Another super vivid color.

Foil Me Once is a pink foil. Leans a little towards the purple tones. 2 coats.

Antiquated is a brownish gold foil. 2 coats.

Perfect Mol-Ten is a green foil. 2 coats

Lumin-icecent is a silver foil with slight blue tones. 2 coats.

The formula for these were excellent, they applied flawlessly and so smooth. There are no visible brush strokes, and they dry super fast. I was a little hesitant on this collection because I'm not really a huge fan of foils/metallic polishes. But something about this collection attracted my eyes so I decided to buy the whole collection and try it out. I'm not disappointed at all about this like other people are. I'm satisfied with my purchase.

These are very bright colors, and can grab many attention. I received a lot of compliments when I wore these. They were opaque in one coat, but I did two to even it out. My favorites are Cold Metal and Limin-icecent.

OPI The Muppets Collection Swatches & Review

Hi all! Sorry that I took a mini break from posting. But I'm back and have plenty of posts to share with you guys! Today I have OPI's The Muppets Collection. I have a confession, when I was about 3 or 4, I used to terrified of Miss Piggy. It just irked me that she talked and she had those huge eyes. Silly I know but I was young! Haha. This collection consists of 6 glitters and 6 shimmers.

Rainbow Connection is a multicolored glitter with clear base. This was four coats. It's a mix of large hex glitters and small round glitters.

Excuse Moi! is a pink glitter with silver hex glitters. It has a sheer pink base. 3 coats. This was the most opaque glitter of the collection.

Gone Gonzo! is a icey blue glitter with silver hex glitters in a clear base. 3 coats.

Gettin' Miss Piggy with It is a golden red glitter with silver hex glitters in a clear base. 3 coats

Divine Swine is a purple glitter with silver hex glitters in clear base. 3 coats

Fresh Frog of Bel Air is a green glitter with silver hex glitters in a clear base. 3 coats.

Animal-istic is a bright red shimmer. 2 coats

Meep-Meep-Meep is a fuchsia shimmer. 2 coats

Wocka Wocka! is a wine red shimmer. 2 coats

Warm & Fozzie is mix of brown, green, and gold shimmer. A very interesting color. 2 coats

Designer..de Better is a silvery pink metallic. 2 coats. What's interesting about this one is, if you look super closely, you can see pink specks on it!

Pepe's Purple Passion is a plum purple with pinkish flakes. 2 coats. They're not exactly flakies, but they're like bits of non-shiny glitter inside the polish that makes it look interesting. It's quite hard to describe.

The formula for these were pretty good. I just wished the glitters were more opaque. Maybe they're more meant for top coats, but I prefer to wear glitters alone, that's just me. As for the shimmers, I also wished it was a variety of colors instead of just red tones.

Overall, the collection isn't too bad. Quite an interesting collection. My favorites are Rainbow Connection, Excuse Moi!, and Designer...de Better.

Zoya Gems & Jewels Collection Swatches and Review

Today I have Zoyas Gems & Jewels collection to share with you guys. This collection consists of three shimmers and three glitters to match with them.

Holly is an emerald green shimmer. 2 coats

Rina over Holly, Rina is mixed with green and blue bar glitters, and green micro glitters

Noel is an icey blue metallic. 2 coats.

Twila over Noel, Twila has blue and holo bar glitters and blue micro glitters.

Izzy is a bright fuchsia shimmer. 2 coats

Kissy over Izzy, Kissy is mixed with pink and holo bar glitters, and fuchsia micro glitters.

I played around with the glitters on a nail wheel over white. The glitters are shown more over white.

And finally I decided to layer them over each other, and the results are quite interesting.

Overall this collection is interesting. I like the bar glitters and everything. It's perfect to create a gradient like affect on the tips. The shimmers weren't that unique, however, the formula is excellent. It applied flawlessly. Noel has a metallic/foil finish and it was not streaky. Visible brush strokes is minimum. I would definitely wear the bar glitters over a different color though just so you can see the colors more.

Wet 'n Wild Craze Inked

Today is my lovely mother's 53rd birthday! I love my mom more than anything in the world. She means everything to me, without her, I'm nobody. She is such a caring person and very strong. I look up to her all the time. Although she doesn't like my nail polish addiction, I still love you mama :) haha<3

So today I have three of the Wet 'n Wild Crazy Inked Collection to share with you guys. To be honest, when I first saw the display for these, I thought they were crackle polishes. Turns out they weren't! (oops) It's ok though because the colors are still nice!

Tagger is a vibrant blue creme with a semi jelly finish. 2 coats

Art Crime is a yellow creme with a semi jelly finish. 3 coats. Ignore the weird looking smudge on my middle finger. I think it was smudged from applying my thick top coat on it. It looks like a honey comb which is pretty interesting.

Undercover Graffiti is a bright green creme. 2 coats

This is my first time trying Wet 'n Wild Craze nail polishes. I have no problems with the formula except for Tagger. It was a bit thick and a little tough to apply. But it didn't bother me because the color is gorgeous. It's a beautiful blue, and it happens to be my favorite of this collection. So the formula is decent, but there was one thing that bothered me a little. I got so used to the long brushes, and Craze have really short brushes, so once you pick up the cap, the brush is right there at the bottom. It took a little to get used to.

I found these at Duane Reade for $1.99 a bottle.

Blast from the Past: China Glaze OMG Collection

Today is 11/11/11 and being the dork that I am, I scheduled this post to be posted at 11:11. :D And being that this date is so special, I decided to do a post on one of my favorite collections of all times. And that is the infamous China Glaze OMG Collection. These are my prize possessions. When I started to REALLY get into nail polish, I would buy polishes separately and never a whole collection. But the beauty of the OMG Collection caught my eyes and I gave in. (Not to mention these are the first holo polishes I've ever owned) I am super glad I got the entire collection, as it is extremely hard to find now without paying sky rocket prices on eBay. I never show swatches or did a review on this collection because I didn't start blogging yet. Well here they are now! I've included two pictures for this. First under fluorescent lights, and another in flash. The flash shows the holo real well.

I have two top favorites, and that's 2NITE and LOL, But I love the rest all equally! So you can see why everyone is all hyped about this collection. The holo is just gorgeous. They don't make it like this anymore... And I wish they did. It just hurts me that polishes are as pretty as they used to be.

However, as much as I love holo polishes, they chip very easily. I actually wore these for a manicure, hence you can see that in some posts my nails are long and some are short. I got a lot of attention and compliments for these polishes. People said they never see polishes like that, and I'm like, well they don't make holo polishes like this anymore! Majority of these didn't really last a day. I wash my hands a lot so maybe that's the cause of it chipping easily. The aqua base only helps for application.

Essie Power Clutch

Today I have Essie Power Clutch to share from the Fall 2011 collection. It was the only polish I purchased from the collection since the other colors just didn't phase me. It is also the first drugstore label I bought from Essie! I find it easier because they have a sticker on the top of the brush handle so I can easily find the color in my stash. I hate having to take one out and look at the bottom to check if that's the color I want.

Power Clutch is a dark gray creme. 2 coats

We are seeing a lot of dark grays for the fall, and I'm liking it. Back then, you would never see any gray polishes are people's finger nails, but now I'm seeing it a lot and it's great that it's finally getting attention. I'm a fan of gray polishes, as you can tell.

The formula was pretty consistent, typical Essie polishes. They applied evenly with no streaks and no fuss. I was going to purchase the whole collection, but after seeing swatches, I see that most of the colors are dupeable.

MAC Fatigues

Today I have MAC Fatigues from the MAC Me Over collection. It was the only polish I bought from the collection. You know, I'm kind of glad I'm on a budget. Because it really saves me a lot to pick polishes to buy instead of ordering the whole collection. I just hope you guys don't mind since you don't get a full review on the collection. It's just hard for me since I'm only doing part time now. And not to mention, polishes are getting more expensive these days. The price raise and everything is just a little redonk. From what I know, the MAC holiday polishes are $16 a bottle! I hope it's just for the holiday collection and not for their future ones :(

Fatigues is a brown green creme. 2 coats. I love these type of colors because it's not just one color. My picture looks mostly brown, but it's more green in person.

The formula for this was pretty good. It applied smooth and even. I'm happy to see the formula improving for MAC polishes because sometimes they make gorgeous colors. But I really do hope that because their formula is improving, that the price will increase. I'm already paying $23 for Chanel polishes, and if MAC really raise their price then it's gonna be harder for me to do review for their polishes.

New OPI Designer Series

Today I have the two new OPI Designer Series polishes to show. I miss the old OPI Designer Series where they have all the sexy holo polishes :( Unfortunately those are hard to find now, and I'm happy to have the few I wanted. I wish I bought all of them back then. But anyways, these two new designer series are not bad, they're glitters! Like total glitter bombs. Anything with glitters is fine for me!

DS Bold is a jelly red with silver and red glitters. 3 coats. It's a bit sheer since it has a semi jelly finish. 2 coat looked nice, but 3 were needed for opacity. I love the way this one looks. It's great for Christmas!

DS Temptation is a purple glitter packed with blue and silver glitters. 4 coats. This one required an extra coat because it is a clear base. This one is a true glitter bomb. And I believe the star of the two.

The formula for these were pretty good. DS Bold applied flawlessly. I had a little problem with DS Temptation, it started to build up on the brush as I was on the third coat. But putting it back on and a few shakes did the trick. I wasn't disappointed with these two compared to the previous new DS they came out with. So I am pretty satisfied. Both colors are gorgeous.

Finger Paint Tiffany Imposter

Today I have Finger Paint's Tiffany Imposter to share with you guys. I don't have much Finger Paint polishes because I rarely get to visit Sally's Beauty since it's kind of far from me. And by the time I do go to one, all the good colors are already gone. But when I saw Tiffany Imposter, it was gorgeous, I also liked the name too!

Tiffany Imposter is a tiffany blue creme. 2 coats. Quite similar to China Glaze's For Audrey. I feel that Tiffany Imposter is slightly lighter than For Audrey. I should've done a comparison, but I'm a lazy person.

The formula was good for this. It applied evenly and smooth and was not streaky at all.

Nicole by OPI Glitters for Holiday Collection

Today I have Nicole by OPI Glitters for the Holiday Collection to share with you guys. The collection consists of four different glitters. The mention of glitters makes me jump out of my chair. I have a lot for glitters!

My Sleigh's in the Shop is a purple, fuchsia, and gold glitters. 3 coats

Orna-ment for Each Other is a bright red and gold glitters. 3 coats. Picture looks a little coppery, but it's more bright red. I think it's because the gold accents make it look copper in my picture.

Glitter in My Stocking is gold and red glitters. 3 coats. Absolutely gorgeous and stunning, perfect for the holidays.

Snow-Man of My Dreams is a blue glitter based with pink, yellow, silver, purple, glitters. 3 coats. Very festive!

The formula for these were pretty good. They were quite opaque in three coats, some could've used 4, but it was good enough with just three. These glitters are perfect for the Holidays. I love how glittery it is. I loved all four of them and had trouble choosing a favorite, but Snow-Man of My Dreams top it all!

Deborah Lippmann Stormy Weather and Billionaire

Today I have two Deborah Lippmann from the Fall collection swatches to share. I had a gift card for Neiman Marcus so I decided to use it to buy nail polishes. I ordered these along with Get the Party Started collection.

Stormy Weather is a dark gray creme. 2 coats

Billionaire is a dark, almost blackened green. 2 coats

The formula for these were awesome. I've always loved Deborah Lippmann polishes, but just can't afford to buy them all, as they retail for $18 a bottle. There's nothing special about these two colors, but I don't know why, I still love them. Billionaire happens to be my favorite. No surprise right there. I don't think there's any greens I don't like!

I really want to try the Footloose collection from hsn.com but I'm gonna wait! I need to spend less right now because I'm working less hours and making less =x

Sally Hansen Green Tea

Greetings all! It's getting really chilly here in New York, and I absolutely hate the cold weather! I always "hibernate" when it's cold. But anyways, today I have Sally Hansen's Green Tea to share with you guys. This is from the Tracy Reese Fall 2011 collection, and it was the only one I bought.

Green Tea is a pale green creme. Not quite close to mint green, nor pastel green. This was done in two coats.

The formula for this was great. It applied very smooth. It was opaque in one coat, but I did two to even it out. A very nice color for the Fall and unexpected. You would expect these types of colors for the Spring, so it's nice to see a few perks for the Fall instead of all those dark autumn colors.

I purchased this at Rite Aid, but I've been seeing it around CVS, Walgreens, and Duane Reade.

5 Swatches from China Glaze Metro Collection

Today I have five swatches to share from China Glaze's Metro Collection. I decided to only buy the five colors that attracted my eyes because the rest was either dupeable or just not pretty to me.

Trendsetter is a olive green with gold shimmers. 2 coats. Ignore the little smudge on my middle finger please!

Westside Warrior is an army green creme. 2 coats. Yes we've seen a lot of this color. But it's still gorgeous to me!

Concrete Catwalk is a dark gray base. 2 coats

Skyscraper is a navy blue base with tons of silver glitter. It has a semi jelly finish, and it took 3 coats to reach opacity.

CG in the City is a clear base mixed with silver and purple glitters. It took 4 coats to reach opacity, but it was worth the time because it is stunning!

I never have issues with China Glaze's formula. They always apply nicely for me with no problems. The five colors I chose are gorgeous too, so I'm glad I got them.

Orly Rock Solid

Before I start this entry, I just wanna announce that today is my precious dog Bebe's 11th birthday! So happy birthday to her! Here's a picture of her recently. She love's joining us at the dinner table. It's like her saying, "I want my food right here please!" Haha, even though she's 11, she still acts like a little puppy. She's very active and filled with energy. She's blind on one eye, and have cataracts on the other, but that doesn't stop her from having fun and chasing balls. Her sense of smell and hearing is strong because she's partially blind. Nevertheless, she's very playful and loves getting attention. I had her since she was 2 months old, so she's literally like my baby. I love her :)

SO! Today I have Orly's Rock Solid from the Mineral FX collection. It was the only one I bought, since I am on a tight budget. Not to mention, the other colors were so-so and just didn't grab my attention. Rock Solid was the only one left in the display at Sally's Beauty.

Rock Solid is a charcoal base shimmer packed with holo glitters. The glitters range from tiny glitters and some larger glitters. This was done in two coats.

And here is a blurry picture to show the holo glitters gleaming!

The formula for this was good. It applied very smooth with no troubles. It was super hard to remove. But that's expected of glitters.

China Glaze Crackle Metals Collection

Today I finally have China Glaze's Crackle Metals to share with you. I was excited to hear about metallic crackles so I was waiting to get my hands on these. And I must say I'm a tad bit disappointed about this collection.

Not to mention that we have a ton of brands making these crackle/shatter effects, there's a whole range of colors as well. I'm starting to get a little sick of the shatter effects, but nothing beats the original black color shatters. It just makes some polishes look better!

Anyways, let's have a look shall we?

Cracked Medallion is a bronze/copper crackle

Platnium Pieces is a metallic silver crackle

Tarnished Gold is a metallic gold crackle. Quite similar to OPI's Gold Shatter, just this one didn't shatter as much as I hoped it would. Maybe it was because I applied too thick.

Oxidized Aqua is a metallic aqua crackle. I kind of like the weird combo for this one.

Haute Metal is a metallic pink crackle

Latticed Lilac is a metallic lilac crackle

I played around with the base colors and decided to not just do them all in black base but with variety of colors. My favorite combos were Crackled Medallion over a dusty teal base and Oxidized Aqua over a red base. I wasn't too fond of the other crackles because they didn't shatter as great nor were they as opaque as I thought it would be. And when I applied a thicker coat, it didn't shatter as much as I wanted it to be. So was it worth the money for me? No. I only liked two out of the six so that means something.

Are we sick of the crackle/shatter effects yet? Or do we want to see more colors? I'm looking/waiting for a nice green shimmer crackle and a purple creme crackle. Then I'm set!

Sally Hansen Salon Effects in Hot Wired

Happy Halloween! I hope everyone have a fun and spooky, but most importantly safe Halloween! I decided to use the Sally Hansen Salon Effects strips as my Halloween mani instead of doing more nail art (honestly I just ran out of ideas). This is my second time using these strips and was more successful at them then last time.

They came out with many Halloween designs, but I was mostly attracted to Hot Wired. Maybe it's the green, I don't know!

I think it looks pretty neat. The application took me only 20 minutes for both hands. Which I feel is pretty quick. Didn't really have any troubles either.

Only problem I have this time is finding the pieces to fit right. My nails are kind of skinny so it was a little tough. The pinky one was too small, but the next smallest size was too big so I just stayed with the smaller one.

It's not that visible so I think it's OK!

Here's slight bubbling at the bottom of my thumb. But I don't think it's the strip problem, I think there's slight bumps on my thumb from when I had glitters on and I peeled it off from boredom =X very bad habit of mine.

Overall, I'm happy with this. I've only had this on since last night so I'm not sure about how long it'll lasts. I wish there was a konad stamp of this, because this design is pretty awesome! Looking forward to looking at other people's Halloween manis!

Hey all! I decided to try some nail art today and I was inspired by IHaveACupcake. Once I saw her video and the tutorial, I thought it was pretty simple and should be easy to do and decided to give it a try.

It didn't really turn out the way I liked it. Take a look:

I think only Frankenstein turned out a little weird. The eyes are uneven and the hair wasn't long enough? My favorite is the Dracula. I didn't get to take a picture of these when they glow in the dark.

OPI Gold Shatter Swatch and Review

Today I have OPI's Gold Shatter to share with you guys. For those who have been following me on twitter and/or been reading my blog knows that I have been trying to find the perfect gold shatter. I've tried all the brands out there that made a gold shatter/crackle polish and none satisfied my need. Until OPI Gold Shatter came out! Before buying the gold shatter, I had a few doubts, thinking it's going to be suck-y like the rest of the gold shatters/crackles. But to my surprise, I have finally found the perfect gold shatter!

Gold Shatter over dark green. It's pure gold shatter, it doesn't look silver and it shatters gorgeously. I love the gold shimmer over the dark green, and I'm sure it will look great over other colors as well.

The formula is like their original Shatter polishes. A bit thick, but nothing too hard to work with. I applied a semi-thin coat over the dried nail polish and felt that the polish shattered evenly around the nails.

Does anyone else like Gold Shatter as much as I do?

China Glaze Haunting Collection

We are only a few days away from Halloween, do you know what your Halloween mani is going to be? I'm debating on a few things right now. Don't know if I'm gonna go with the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish strips or do some nail art. But in case you don't know what to wear, China Glaze came out with a collection called the Haunting Collection for Halloween!

It's Alive is an olive green glitter with a brownish olive green base. This took 3 coats for full coverage. This color just screams Halloween! It just reminds me of Zombies and anything that's decaying or coming from the graveyard.

Here is Black Crackle over It's Alive. I put Ghoulish Glow over It's Alive before applying the black crackle. I forgot to take a picture of that, but it gives it a milky sort of finish. However, the nails did not glow in the dark like the bottle did, that was a little disappointing. But this combo looks good together.

Haunting is a black creme base packed with silver specks. 2 coats. This is GORGEOUS. Sure we've seen a lot of black base with silver specks, glitters whatsoever. But there's something about this one. Maybe it's the dense glitters that makes it seem like the galaxy, I don't know. This was my favorite from the whole collection.

Near Dark is a dark green creme with a semi-jelly finish. I only did it in two coats, it didn't seem that sheer while applying, but with lighting and taking pictures, I realized it was actually quite sheer! Oops? This color is perfect for fall and great for Halloween!

Crimson is a vampy dark purple creme. 2 coats. I'm usually not a huge fan of the near black colors but some reason I really liked this one. I haven't wore dark colors for such a long time that it felt different and maybe that's why I liked it.

Overall, I like this collection. It's perfect for the Fall, and perfect for Halloween. The formula for these were excellent. I had no problems with it. It all applied smoothly. I only wished that Ghoulish Glow would actually glow in the dark on the nails, because that would've been pretty cool!

Six New for Fail 2011 ManGlaze Swatches & Review

Good afternoon all! Today I have six new shades from ManGlaze to share with you. ManGlaze called this "New for Fail" which I find kinda silly. ManGlaze have always been my favorite brand of polishes for matte polish. Once I saw the release pictures for these I thought to myself that I must have it and I went ahead and ordered right away. Let's take a look!

Butt Taco is a bright red-orange matte shimmer. 2 coats. I can't help but laugh at the name!

Fatty's Got More Blood is a vampy dark purple-red matte shimmer. 2 coats. Again the name is hilarious!

Cabron is a dark plum purple matte shimmer 2 coats. Look at the silver specks on these! The shimmer is intense with a top coat, unfortunately I didn't take a picture of it with a top coat, it just ruins the purpose of matte polishes.

Nawsome Sauce is a green matte shimmer. 2 coats. This is awesome! I love it. You probably think it's similar to OPI's Here Today Aragon Tomorrow Suede, but it's not. Nawsome Sauce is a true forest green. And another similar one would be Zoya's Veruschuka, but no this is different from both.

Ilf is a aqua teal matte shimmer. Kind of like a Tiffany & Co. color but in matte and with shimmer. This was in two coats.

Mink Mitten is a metallic lavender purple matte shimmer. 2 coats. This is the true beauty to the collection. It just screams gorgeous and my picture does no justice for this polish. It looks shiny in my picture, but imagine it a matte shine. This is a must have for me.

Overall, I loved this whole collection. The colors are great, unique, and awesome. The formula for these were superb. It went on so smooth with no bumps or smudges. I tend to always have problems with matte polishes, but this applied like butter (if that's a good a thing). That's the reason I love ManGlaze polishes, I never have problem applying them because the formula is excellent and makes application super easy. The only slight problem I had with these is that the label of the polishes were bleh, besides Mink Mitten. Maybe I should've waited awhile before ordering them so I could've got all the new labels. But you know what, in the end, only the polish matters!

Estee Lauder Metallic Sage

Today I have Estee Lauder's Metallic Sage to show. This is my first time ever trying Estee Lauder polishes. And I'm quite impressed with the quality even though the price was a little above my limit. Let's take a look.

Metallic Sage is an olive green packed with golden shimmers. 2 coats.

Here is Metallic Sage with flash.

The formula was pretty good. I thought it was a bit thick at first, but I decided to shake it up a bit and it was perfect afterwards. It is heavily pigmented. It was quite opaque under one coat, but I did two to smooth it out (and out of habit).

The color is gorgeous, I love the olive green and I especially love the golden shimmer to it. I got this from Macy's and I'm not quite sure if it's still available. This retails for $19 a bottle.

Milani Racy Green

A quick post today. Today I have Milani's Racy Green to share with you guys. When I saw the display for this I couldn't get my eyes off Racy Green so I decided to just buy it. The display showed it with black crackle over it.

Racy Green is a emerald green shimmer with aqua mixture to it. This was done in 3 coats. It's still a bit sheer and you can see visible nail lines.

Here is black shatter over Racy Green. I love this look more than Racy Green alone.

The formula for this is pretty good. The only problem was this really stained my nails after I removed them. I didn't like the color alone but I did like it with black shatter over it.

Revlon Glitters

Thank you everyone for their kind words on my previous posts.

Today I have the Revlon Glitters to share with you ladies. I don't know if there's an official name for the collection, I was just too quick to grab the polishes and went to pay for it. For those that has been following me on twitter knew that I was hunting for these. And I finally found them at a Duane Reade far away from me -_-

Let's take a look at some gorgeous glitters!

Facets of Fuchsia is a sheer black base with tiny and hex fuchsia glitters. This was done in 3 coats. This is very similar to Deborah Lippmann's Bad Romance. The only difference is that Facets of Fuchsia has more tiny glitter than Bad Romance.

Blue Mosaic is a clear base with aqua blue micro-glitters and green and silver hex glitters. This was done in 4 coats and it's still not fully covered, but it still looks pretty.

Starry Pink is a baby pink creme base mixed with silver and white hex glitters and some tiny glitters. This was done in 3 coats except for my index finger, I totally forgot and only put two coats lol. This is my favorite of the whole collection. I love how girly this color is.

The formula for these were pretty good. I didn't have no issues with them. I've always had trouble with drying for Revlon polishes. These were actually ok being that they were all more than 2 coats. Everything was fine, except Starry Pink. I somehow smudged it an hour later when I was cleaning. I don't know if these are still available. But I saw a few still available at certain Rite Aid's. Starry Pink was one of my favorites.

Nail Art: Nightmare Before Christmas for Halloween

Before I start this post, for those who followed me on Twitter knew that my Grandfather passed away on 10/12/11. He has been one of the most inspirational people in my life. My grandfather lived a good life, he had great children, great in laws, and most of all great grandchildren. He didn't have any troubles in life except for the past two years. When my father passed away 2 years ago my grandfather was devastated, they were inseparable. My father was the greatest in-law for him. And then a few months ago, my grandfather's best friend pass away. He was sick and was unable to attend his funeral. Now it was his time to go. I'm sure he's in a better place now with his best friend and his son-in-law reuniting. I'm depressed because I was unable to attend his funeral because he lives in Venezuela. My brother flew there last week, it was like my grandfather was waiting for him before he left the world. My grandfather taught me a lot growing up, he visited New York multiple times. I will never forget the things he did for us. He is truly a caring person and heaven just received another angel. I miss you grandpa, may you rest in peace.

Now I am not a huge fan for scary movies, the only scary movies I've watched are all the Chucky series, and The Ring. That's about it. I'm not into the whole suspense and waiting for something to pop up to scream. I'm a wussy >_< so I decided to choose a little something less scary. Nightmare Before Christmas. I'm a huge fan of Tim Burton and Nightmare Before Christmas was one of my favorite films from him.

I think it turned out pretty well! Jack Skellington glows in the dark. I can't remember all the polishes I've used because I put them all away once I was done with the mani. I thought Sally was going to be the hardest, and it was. It took me awhile to get it done, but everything was done at one shot. I am pretty pleased of the turn out and got many compliments for it. Of course I was only able to do it on my left hand, no way I would've been able to do this left handed. I've never done this type of nail art before. All I did was simple stuff like what you've seen before so let's hope I win :)

Nails Inc Electronic Lane Holographic Top Coat

Hope everyone is having a good week so far. Today I have Nails Inc.'s special effects in Electronic Lane; which is a holographic top coat. This is my second purchase from nails inc. and I don't think it is stopping there!

When I saw this bottle at Sephora, something about the holo attracted me and I couldn't put the bottle down, so I ended up buying it. It's a clear base with holo glitters. I tried it under two colors, one under a charcoal black, and another under a sky blue. Take a look!

Electronic Lane under charcoal black. This was one coat of Electronic Lane. See how amazing the holo is? It was a bit hard to capture it on camera, even with flash. This was the best picture out of the 20 I've taken.

Electronic Lane over sky blue creme. This is again one coat. I love how angelic this looks.

I usually don't buy top coats like this because I'm too lazy to do layering. But this was too gorgeous to put down. This retails for $10 and is available at Sephora.

Maybelline Cool Couture

It's just another manic Monday, I wish it were a Sunday cause that's my funday!

Ugh Monday's are always long and drags on -_- but anyways, today I have Maybelline's Cool Couture to share with you ladies. I've been hunting for Cool Couture for a whole month before I finally found it at my local Rite Aid.

Maybelline's Cool Couture is a dark gray base with teal and green shimmers. I did two coats of it.

It was opaque in one coat, but I did two to smooth it out. The formula wasn't bad, it applied very nice and the dry time was good as well. I really loved this color and I'm glad I found it. I got many compliments at work for it. I don't see it around the Rite Aid I got anymore, it is the only color that's sold out. Well they usually have only two bottles out anyway. But yes if you didn't grab Cool Couture yet, go find it! I think it's a gorgeous and unique color.

Today I finally have the set from Deborah Lippmann called Get This Party Started. I know this set came out like months ago, but I finally got the chance to do some swatches on it. This set contains three polishes, one is the popular glitter polish Happy Birthday, along with one pink with multicolored glitters, and a black with multicolored glitters. Let's take a look.

Happy Birthday is obviously should be worn as a top coat since it's not full coverage. This was three coats. I've read that there are differences between the new Happy Birthday and the old Happy Birthday. The only big difference is that the old Happy Birthday has tiny square multicolored glitters and the new ones have tiny round multicolored glitters. I know you can barely tell if you just take a glance.

Candy Shop is a sheer bubble gum pink creme packed with Happy Birthday glitters. 3 coats. I love the finish of this. I love how the glitters look like its stuck inside the polish trying to escape. I've seen a lot of ladies franken this polish because well it's pretty easy and simple. You actually don't even have to franken it. You can easily apply a pink base coat and a coat of multicolored glitters and apply two coats of sheer pink over it. The finish is quite similar.

Forget You (I see you driving around town with the guy I love and I'm like...forget youuuu) anyways Forget You is a sheer black creme with Happy Birthday glitters. 3 coats. This one was a so-so for me. Don't love it but don't hate it as well. This one looks like Happy Birthday is applied OVER a black creme, which makes it not so special compared to the Candy Shop.

The formula for these were a little hard to work with since we are dealing with so many glitters. It's hard to get the glitters to stay put, especially near the edges. I hate having to file down my nails because the glitters are perked out and cutting me. They were a little thick, again that's because we're dealing with so much glitters.

Overall, I was satisfied with this set. I just wished they included another color mixed with Happy Birthday instead of putting a bottle of Happy Birthday to the set. Like maybe a green one, just saying! Other than that, I have no complaints!

Nail Art: Pink Leopard with Pink Bow

Today I have some nail art to share with you guys. I think I'm gonna dedicate myself to do nail art and have a post on it at least once a week. That depends how lazy I am lol. Today I decided to do pink leopards with a bow. The bow is suppose to be a Hello Kitty bow but I'm not quite sure if it turned out the way it was suppose to be!

Polishes Used
- Nubar Baby Pink
- Zoya Dana
- OPI Suzi Loves Cowboys
- Chanel Gold Fiction
- Colorr Club Art Club Gold Glitter

I started with Nubar Baby Pink as a base color. I didn't want anything too pink, nor too light. Something in between and Nubar's Baby Pink was perfect for it. I then use a thin brush to apply the spots for the leopard with OPI Suzi Loves Cowboys as the outline and Chanel Gold Fiction as the spots. Suzi Loves Cowboys and Gold Fiction was a little sheer so I had to do the spots twice. After that was done I used Zoya's Dana to draw the bow on my middle finger, it was hard to find a fuchsia creme, I didn't want to use hot pink because it didn't look good with the baby pink. I outlined the bow with the Gold Glitters. And here is the outcome!

I really liked the way it turned out. I think I should've added one more spots to the pinky nail because it looked a little plain. This is very cute and girly, especially for someone who loves leopard spots and Hello Kitty *looks away*

And to add to the post, I decided to take a picture of it with my huge Hello Kitty bling ring. I think it goes perfectly well together don't you thing? I find it funny that my right hand looked better than my left hand, being that I'm a righty haha

Chanel Les Jeans de Chanel Swatches & Review

Today I have Chanel Les Jeans de Chanel collection to share with you. This collection was released for New York's Fashion Week for a limited time. I believe there are only a few more days left before these disappear from the Chanel website, but I'm not too sure about that. Let's have a look at the collection.

Coco Blue is a gorgeous sky blue with hints of shimmery glow. 3 coats. I absolutely love this color, I know there are plenty of sky blue polishes out there but there's something about this one that just looks so gorgeous.

Blue Boy is a muted blue creme with grayish tones. 2 coats. Another interesting color. I love the muted look. It has a slight jelly finish, which I like.

Blue Rebel is a muted navy blue creme. 2 coats. This one also has a slightly muted look to it. It also has a slight jelly finish.

The three colors are not unique per se. And not to mention the price. These retail for $29 a bottle. That's a little redonk, and I'm a little redonk to actually purchase all three. But you know because it's Chanel. I did like all three of them, even though they are not unique. The formula for these were pretty good. I'm happy that Chanel is finally improving their formula, because I know in the past I hated it. They do chip easily though, so that's another thing Chanel needs to work on if they want their polish to be worth the money.

But in my opinion, no matter how great the formula is, no matter how lasting the wear is, a bottle of polish should not cost more than $20, designer brand or not. That's just my thought.

OPI Pink Shatter for Breast Cancer Awareness Swatch & Review

It's October already! And as you all know October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month! OPI has released a PINK Shatter to support Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Here is OPI Pink of Hearts 2011 Pink Shatter!

Pink Shatter is a hot pink shimmer shatter. I was going to do it over a white base, but decided to go with a pastel pink instead. I love the combination and the way it turned out. I wanted to put a ribbon on the ring finger but didn't have the time to. Maybe next time!

I really love this pink shatter. We have seen quite a few pink shatters out there, but this one is a gorgeous hot pink with shimmer in it. And I love how it's actually opaque and didn't blend in with the base color like most shimmer shatters does.

The formula, is like your average shatter polish formula. It does have buildups on the brush and around the opening of the bottle after long use. Usually wiping the brush down and the opening will do the job for me. I also love the design of the bottle. It has the typical shatter cap, but instead of silver, it has pink, which I find quite adorable. A great shatter for a great polish. Let's shatter away breast cancer!

Milani Purple Outline

Today I have Milani's Purple Outline to share with you guys. Purple Outline has a striper brush and is more for nail art. I had this for awhile to play around while doing some nail arts because I thought it was gorgeous to have pink and purple glitters. THEN, I saw Scrangie did a post on it when she applied it on her whole nail and I was like wow what a brilliant idea.

Purple Outline has a purple creme base with vibrant purple and pink glitters. 2 coats and it was full coverage. Only one coat of top coat was needed.

I cheated a little for these, I used a regular brush to apply this instead of their thin brush, so it was easier to apply. Although being that this is for nail art purposes, the formula was really thick. It was a little hard to apply, but after a top coat it eventually evened out. I really like the way it looks!

Nail Art: Tarte's True Blood Palette

After seeing Beautopia's Tarte True Blood inspired nail art, I just had to try it for myself. Here is the link to her work: click here. It seem a bit tough to work with but I managed to try it. My nails are really narrow so it was a little hard to do.

And here is the outcome!

Not as great as Beautopia's but I've tried. I did get a lot of compliments for these and people asking me how to do it.

I'm a huge True Blood fan and I'm sad that I have to wait until next summer for Season 5 to come out. A lot of people didn't like Season 4 but I absolutely enjoyed it.

Illamasqua Poke

Today I have Illamasqua Poke to share with you guys. I've read a lot of rave about this polish, but when I saw swatches of them I just didn't see what was so great about it. But while browsing at Sephora one day I decided to try it. The polish in person is stunning. It's the type of polish where you have to see it in person to see the beauty of it.

Poke is a vibrant royal purple with silver shimmer and flashes of blue in certain lighting. 2 coats.

My picture does no justice for this polish. You definitely have to see it in person to appreciate it. The formula was flawless, it wasn't too thick or thin, and heavily pigmented , opaqued with one coat. I did two coats out of habit. It spread out perfectly and evenly.

Nfu-Oh Holos 61-66

Today I have more holos to share with you guys! I can't get enough of holos, I have too much love towards them. I have the brand Nfu-Oh holos swatches done. Let's take a look!

61 is a silver holo. 3 coats. First picture under fluorescent light, and second picture under direct sunlight. I didn't order this back then because I thought China Glaze OMG was good enough. But when I saw pictures of it I thought it was a stunning silver holo, so when it is finally in stock again I went right ahead and ordered it (along with 62-65) I was extremely disappointed with it because it didn't shine as well as the swatches I've seen. In the bottle all I saw was a dull plain silver polish. I used their Aqua Base as a base coat. The holo only showed in sunlight and under fluorescent lights. Without light all you see is silver.

62 is a light coral holo. 2 coats. This one showed a little more holo than 61 did.

63 is a pink holo. 2 coats.

64 is a dark pink close to purple holo. I know in my picture it looks really similar to 63. But in person there's a difference. 63 is lighter than 64.

65 is a light blue holo. 3 coats.

66 is a light green holo. 2 coats. I bought this two years ago. As you can see, there is a HUGE difference between this one the new ones I bought recently. Can you see the amazing holo glow in this one compared to the others? Now this is what I call a true holo. Which is why I was super disappointed that I spent so much on 61-65. No holos are like how they used to be now.

Like I mentioned, I was disappointed because they weren't as holo as I thought they would be, or at least compared to the swatches I've seen. But at least I'm glad I have 66. The formula for these were decent. They tend to streak if you don't use any type of water based base coats. I use their Aqua Base base coats for all of them. Although using the Aqua Base makes the polish chips faster. I don't know why that's the case but these usually didn't even last a day without chipping.

As much as I love holos, I wasn't just that happy with this. Maybe if I bought all of them 2 years ago I would've loved these as much as I loved 66. Oh well! I just wish they made polishes like they did back then (including all brands).

Nails Inc Special Effects Connaught Square

I was psyched when I found out that Sephora is starting to carry Nails Inc polishes. So far it's the glitters that attracted my eyes. Being that I am on a budget (still) I decided to only pick up one glitter. Those who are not familiar with Nails Inc, they are a London brand polish. I wish Sephora would carry all the colors they have including the adorable Little Miss polishes! Well let's take a look at the swatches.

Connaught Square is a clear base with tiny blue glitters and purple large hexagonal glitters. This polish took 3 coats for full coverage. It also required two coats of top coats because the glitters are so dense it tends to eat up the top coat. It also dried really dull so top coat is definitely needed.

In this picture you can see the purple hex glitters more closely and better than the first picture.

I waited a few minutes between each coat to avoid 'balding' of the glitters since its in a clear base. Two coats was good enough, but three coats guaranteed full coverage on the nails. This was real tough to remove. After attempting to try to remove my pinky for 5 minutes with no luck, I gave up and just did the foil method. The polish didn't chip after two days, but there was definitely tip wear.

Pure Ice Crackles: Catwalk & Shattered

Hi all! Today I have Pure Ice Crackles to share with you guys! I found these in the city at Walgreens. Normally I won't be able to find Pure Ice polishes unless I go to Walmart (which is like 45 minutes drive) so when I saw these I just had to get them. They had other colors, but I only got the ones I don't have. Crackle polishes are a big hit this year, almost EVERY nail polish brand is coming out with them.

Catwalk is a golden yellow shatter. I put it over a periwinkle blue and the combination turned out quite interesting.

Shattered is a lime green shatter in which I did over purple. My two favorite colors combined together. I love the way this one looks!

These were like all other crackles, it tends to get thick on the brush and sometimes it can get messy. I usually shake it up once I see the thickness forming. That usually does the trick for most of them.

What do you guys think of these crackles? Are you sick of them yet?

Today I have another nail art to share with you guys. When I saw the display of Sinful Nails: Go Plaid collection, I was easily attracted to the purple and red plaid nails the model had on and wanted to try it on my own!

I did alternating colors for each finger; as well as alternating colors of plaid lines. This was fairly easy to work with but a little harder for my right hand. It was a bit hard to keep the lines straight with my left hand. I like how it turned out.

Sephora by OPI Make The First Mauve

Today I have Sephora by OPI's Make the First Mauve to share with you guys. I found this on their website and I thought it'd be interesting so I decided to order it.

Make the First Mauve is a rosey mauve with light silver shimmer. 3 coats.

It kind of reminds me of their other popular color Call Your Mother, with shimmer.

The formula for this was a bit runny. It was a little hard to work with but I didn't have too much trouble. I do like the color though because it's pretty classy.

Sally Hansen Midnight Sky

Today I have Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear in Midnight Sky to share with you guys. When I saw the display for the Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear for Fall, I wasn't really interested in it. But I saw a lot of chatting about Midnight Sky on twitter and on other blogs; so I decided to give it a go.

Midnight Sky is a charcoal black packed with silver shimmers. 2 coats.

Yes, I agree that the polish is gorgeous, however, I feel that it's not unique. It is easily dupeable, and it's nothing we haven't seen before. It's still pretty though. The formula for this was pretty good. It applied nicely and evenly; and full coverage under two coats. I got this one from Walgreens.

Did you guys pick up Midnight Sky? If so, what did you think about it.

American Apparel: Two swatches

A short post for today! I have two American Apparel polishes to share with you guys today. Both of them are green-ish tones. No surprise there! Let's take a look.

Army Jacket is a light pale army green creme. 2 coats

Mac Arthur Park is a murky yellow green creme. 2 coats. This is quite an interesting yellow green. I can't quite explain it, it's a bit mossy, kind of looks dirty. You get the picture.

The applications for these were ok. I had a little problem with Mac Arthur Park, it was a bit thick to work with. Other than that I never really have issues with American Apparel polishes. However, I think these may be the last American Apparel polishes I'll be purchasing. Nothing against the polishes, just something about the company I don't like (and please don't bash me as this is entirely MY opinion). Although, I know a few people who agrees with me.

Nail Art: Galaxy Nails

A break from the usual swatchings and reviews! I decided to do some nail art, and the choice was galaxy nails. I was inspired by cutepolish from YouTube. She has amazing tutorials which are pretty easy to follow.

Polishes used:
-Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Black Out
-China Glaze Snow
-Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Expres-so Yellow
-Orly Cotton Candy
-China Glaze Calypso Blue
-Color Club Starry Temptress

This only took me about 15 minutes on each hand. Take a look at the final results!

I absolutely loved it! It was really easy to do even working with my left hand and not to mention fun to work with. I'm a science nerd, especially when it comes to galaxy, so I was eager to show these galaxy nails off when I had them on. Everyone complimented them, and I had them on for four days straight!

Glitter Gal Swatches and Review

Today I have some holos to share with you! A brand from Australia called Glitter Gal. Glitter Gal have plenty of holos but I was only able to afford five (since I am on a budget). The four I chose was a blue, black, and their three newest holos. I have provided two pictures, first will be pictures under fluorescent light and the second picture will be under direct sunlight. Let's take a look at the swatches!

Marine Blue is a vibrant marine blue holo. 2 coats. First picture taken under fluorescent light, and second picture taken under sunlight.

Lizard Belly is a dark green holo. 2 coats. To all fellow nail fanatics who always wished to have a dark green holo, your wish has came true! This is really gorgeous.

Light As A Feather is a white holo! 3 coats. Well its more of a light gray. But this one is absolutely stunning.

Black is a black holo. 2 coats.

Frappe is a light pink holo. 3 coats. I love how this one came out. It's so princess-y and pretty and girly lol.

Glitter Gal's US supplier is llarowe. You can either purchase it at her website on www.shop.llarowe.com or you can look up llarowe on eBay. She is a very nice lady and communication is very well. Shipping was super fast as well. It is retail for $14.00 a bottle. Be warned; these bottles are small (0.3oz/9 ml). I was told that it costs a lot to make holo polishes, maybe that's why a lot of companies don't make holo polishes like they use to anymore.

The formulas for these were a little thick, but nothing too hard to work with. I had only slight issues with a few. Frappe and Marine Blue applied flawlessly, while the others I had thickness problems. I am satisfied with the five colors I chose. Once I'm off my budget I guess I will be buying more, since I'm a sucker for holos :)

Essie Brazilliant Collection Summer 2011 Review

Today I have Essie's Brazilliant Collection to share with you guys. Summer is almost coming to an end and I am trying to swatch all the Summer collections as fast as I can. I don't know if I have any more to go but this one definitely needed attention. The colors are awesome and unique in my opinion. Take a look!

Too Too Hot is a light red coral creme. 2 coats. This looks like a red creme but it's an interesting shade of red. It has slight pink and coral tones to it.

Meet Me At Sunset is an orange-red creme. 2 coats

Super Bossa Nova is a fuchsia shimmer. 2 coats. This is a gorgeous medium fuchsia. It has so much shimmer in it. It's gorgeous.

Brazilliant is a bright orange shimmer. 2 coats. It's a pretty orange! I love the shimmer in this.

Absolutely Shore is a white grey green. Kind of like seafoam green. 3 coats. I really liked this color. It's quite interesting.

Smooth Sailing is a gorgeous periwinkle blue with silver shimmer. 2 coats. This one is my favorite! I love how gorgeous the blue is and the silver shimmer just makes it even better!

This collection had a great amount of colors, and that's what I love about Essie. Although they didn't do neons this year I am fine with that because these colors top neons. The formula for these were excellent. They were smooth and opaque with the exception of Absolutely Shore. It was a bit streaky but three coats did the job. Everything else was in two coats. I am super happy that I bought the whole collection, even though Meet Me At Sunset and Too Too Hot looked pretty similar. But there is a distinct difference between the two. One is orange and the other is a red lol

Crayola Scented Nail Polish

I bought the Crayola Scented polishes awhile back from Rite Aid for $4.99. I still see it available in certain Rite Aids. The reason I bought these were because, well I never tried scented polishes before (even when I was a child), and I couldn't get my eyes off it for some reason.

Bubble Gum is a bright pink shimmer. This was done in 3 coats, it was quite sheer and watery. But it did smell like bubble gum though!

Orange is a vibrant golden orange shimmer. 3 coats. Orange was my favorite of the whole set! I just love the golden yellow glow in it. And yes also smells like orange!

Green Apple is a bright green shimmer. 3 coats. Sure does smell like green apples. This one had the best scent compared to the rest.

Blueberry is a bright navy blue shimmer. 3 coats. This color is quite vibrant, and does indeed smell like blueberry.

Grape is a purple shimmer. 3 coats. This one was also sheer and watery. Smells like grape too!

Overall, these are cute and fun to play with. You're not suppose to put a top coat over these so the scent would stay on. I didn't have these on for longer than a day so I do not know about the wear for these. They sure smell delicious though! Dry time was decent, but I'm too used to putting seche top coat on polishes and not having to worry about more than 10 minutes dry time on polishes. My favorite one is Orange and Green Apple. Both colors are so vibrant and green apple just smells amazing! For $4.99 these were decent priced. They are tiny bottles though so if you're not a fan of minis you might not like these.

OPI Miss Universe Collection Swatches & Review

Today I have OPI's Miss Universe collection to share with you guys today. This collection consists of 3 gorgeous shimmers and one glitter. I can't get enough of glitters, once I see glitter it's a must have for me! Let's take a look at the swatches:

Swimsuit...Nailed It is a gorgeous vibrant blue shimmer. 2 coats. This color is absolutely phenomenal. It's so vibrant and blue.

It's My Year is a purple with golden shimmer. 2 coats. It's stunning. I love the golden shimmers that pops out of the purple. I thought it would be a dupe to Rally Pretty Pink but it's not, this one is more purple than pink. They're more like cousins.

Congeniality is My Middle Name is a fuchsia shimmer. 2 coats. This purple berry has a jelly like finish.

Crown Me Already is a clear base with small round glitters and larger hexagon glitters in silver. 3 coats. With 3 coats it is quite opaque. I feel like this one is a little too opaque to be a top coat. Let's take a look at the collection with one coat of Crown Me Already over them.

As you can see, even with one coat of Crown Me Already, it totally covers up the base color. So this one was best on it's own.

The formula for these were excellent as usual. I had no problems with application. They all applied smoothly. I do love all the colors in this collection, it's quite rare for me to like every single color in one collection. But my top most favorite happens to be It's My Year just because it's such a gorgeous purple.

CND The Look Jason Wu Swatches & Review

I hope everyone is enjoying their Labor Day weekend more than I am. But anyways, today I have CND's The Look Jason Wu collection to share with you guys today. Designer Jason Wu collaborated with CND to create a set of five polishes named after five iconic women. Of the five polishes, one of them gives a matte feathery like texture effect called Anna; which is pretty awesome and fun to play with. Let's have a look at the swatches!

Miss Wu is a white out grey with very subtle shimmer. 2 coats. The shimmer is more noticeable on the bottle than on the nails.

Brigette is a rosey mauve creme. 2 coats

Sophia is a taupe brown creme. 2 coats

Veronica is a creamy vampy red with a semi jelly finish. 2 coats.

Anna over Miss Wu. You can't really see the feathery texture in this one because Miss Wu is so light.

Anna over Brigette is slightly more noticeable.

Anna over Veronica. This is my favorite combo.

The formula for these were superb. They applied like magic. They were pretty opaque under one coat, but I did two out of habit. Now the colors may not be unique and easily dupeable. But I feel like Anna is unique for its effect. I don't think there's any top coats that can create the feather effects. Veronica happens to be my favorite of the whole set. Which is surprising because I am not a fan of reds.

I ordered this set from CND.com back in May (I know I'm late with my reviews) but I don't see this on the website anymore, so correct me if I'm wrong!

Did any of you buy this set? If so which one was your favorite?

American Apparel Neons

Hey lovelies! Today I have neons from American Apparel to share with you. I love neons, and I don't see it much on nails around here, it's either neon pink, or neon orange, never the others. So when I saw these I had to buy them (although I am not a huge fan of American Apparel) Neons are perfect for the summer. Even though summer is coming to a close end, it doesn't hurt to see these neons :)

Neon Yellow is well, a neon yellow creme. lol This was done in 3 coats. It looks like a typical yellow hi-liter, so this is very bright and burns your eyes if you stare at it for too long. The picture is shown with no top coat. Neons tend to dry with a matte finish.

Neon Red is a red neon but looks more orange than red. 2 coats

Neon Orange is a bright light neon orange. 2 coats. I actually like this kind of neon orange than your typical neon orange you see around. It is more yellow-toned.

Neon Green is another we don't see much. This one is crazy blinding. This was 2 coats with a top coat. The color is very intense.

Neon Coral is a a neon orangey coral. 2 coats. I think this lean more towards neon orange, than neon coral. I guess they used coral because there's a neon orange already? lol I don't know.

Neon Purple is a neon purple. It kind of reminds me of Essie's Perky Purple. But I don't own that one so I can't really compare the two. This was 2 coats.

The formula for these were a little thick but nothing too hard to work with. I had trouble applying for some of them. It was a bit uneven and slightly bumpy, but with a top coat it smoothed everything out. Neon Purple had a perfect formula and applied flawlessly. I can't say the same for the rest. The Neon Yellow and Neon Green were hardest to apply, I guess it's because they're super bright but I don't know.

These costs $6 a bottle at www.americanapparel.com I'm also missing a Neon Blue, but it wasn't on the site when I ordered them, I also don't plan on ordering it either.

OPI Glam Slam! US Swatches & Review

Hey guys! Today I have OPI's Glam Slam! US from Serena Williams. This set consists of two shimmery polishes.

Pros & Bronze is a bronze with brown and golden flecks. 3 coats. It was a bit sheer with just one coat, but opaque with three coats.

Love is a Racket is a red shimmer. 2 coats

Here is one layer of Pros & Bronze over Love is a Racket. It gives the red a shimmering bronze glow. Quite interesting.

The formula for these were excellent. I didn't experience any issues with them. They applied on perfectly with no troubles whatsoever. As you know, I'm not a fan of reds, therefore Love is a Racket didn't really wow me. I do like Pros & Bronze though. I love how shiny and shimmery it is.
