Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! I hope everyone is out there enjoying themselves. Just going to do a quick post on several Halloween related mani's before I start getting ready to head out to watch the Yankee's game :) I just got home from work, and I am SO happy to be home. On with the nails!

Another one of those "pumpkin nail enamel" that I found at rite- aid. An ashy smokey gray packed with micro multicolored glitters! Flattering but not exciting.

This one was my first try at drawing the ghosts out. Didn't turn out super but I've tried. I was going to draw pumpkin like faces on the orange but I didn't have time. I've used the Orly's Halloween 2009 collection. Black creme = Liquid Vinyl. Orange creme = Orange Punch.

And here shown with Orly GOTH was the mani I stuck with for today's Halloween mani. Black creme packed with micro silver glitters. Reminds me of Dior Black Sequins (which is now rereleased for the holiday 2009 collection avaiable at

OPI Glow-Ink In the Dark - a glow in the dark cornflower blue packed with a few shimmers. (click to see the shimmers) It was quite sheer, this was done in four coats to achieve opacity.

And bam here's the glow!

OPI The Ghostess with the Mostess - a glow in the dark white creme. I used one coat of Rescue Beauty Lounge Underwear as the base and two coats of TGWTM.

And look at the gorgeous glow from this one! This one glows the most! I love it! Very spooky like especially when I went to bed at night and saw 10 nails glowing at me >_>

And then I topped it with China Glaze's Spellbound. A clear base coat mixed with copper, silver, and orange glitters. This one is my favorite of all. I love how it looks :)

And here's the glow with the glitters. Spooky!

I hope everyone have a safe and enjoyable Halloween!

China Glaze Atlantis

Today I have for you one of my favorite glitters from China Glaze's release of 50 specialty nail polishes. Atlantis is a teal aqua green packed with multicolored glitters. This was done in three coats and like all glitters it was a very gritty feel. I ended up applying two coats of Seche Vite; still felt gritty but I was able to deal with it.

And I couldn't resist to see how it would look like in matte. It looks nice but the glitters don't shine like it should.

This Sephora Friends&Family discount has emptied my wallet. I placed one order and didn't seem to be satisfied. I placed a second order, and still wasn't satisfied. I've finally placed a third order, and let's hope I'll be satisfied with all these beauty goodies!

MAC Style Black

Good day everyone! I have for you today MAC's Style Black nail lacquers. I bought 2 or the 3 as the other one is just a plain black creme in which I have like tons.

Seriously Hip - a blackened gold-green. The gold flakes gives this color a shine. I like :)

Baby Goth Girl - red plum with copper flakes. The flakes doesn't show much on the nails but more on the bottle.

I went to the MAC store when these came out and was told they were all sold out. I ended up going to Nordstrom and asked for them, and the sales lady told me these were the last ones she had. I guess lucky me?

I also bought the Volcanic Ash Exfoliator and the Volcanic Ash Thermal Mask. Let me tell you, the Volcanic Ash Thermal Mask was fun to use! Although I looked quite scary with a black mask on =X

OPI Damone Roberts 1968

TGIF! But I still have work tomorrow so that sucks. It's back to being cold again RAWR!!

So today, I have OPOI Damone Roberts 1968. All sold out already according to Damone Roberts himself. Another mint green, I never seem to be satisfied with my mint greens. But I love this color. AND I also want to paint my room this color! I think it would look fabolous!

Damone Roberts 1968 done in 3 coats with a top coat. Flawless application, no streaks, no clumps, not too thick, not too thin. Couldn't keep my eyes off it because it is just so gorgeous!

Sorry I have to make this quick, I have to start getting ready for dinner. I just got home from work and I'm pooped out :(

Hope everyone have a lovely weekend! <3

OPI Suede Part II

Part II of the OPI Suede collection! Promised you guys that I'd have it up soon! So I don't know what's going on with the weather right now, just last week it was low 40's now it's back up to high 60's. -_-

You Don't Know Jacques - This was my favorite of the whole collection. The shimmers just shows so much.

Suzi Skis In The Pyreness - charcoal shimmer. This reminded me a lot of the Zoya Loredana!

Lincoln Park After Dark - I must say this is my favorite 'version' of Lincoln Park After Dark. The purple shows, the shimmers give it a plus, the matte suede feel gives it a plus plus! I love this one as well.

My sephora order came to it, and I am loving all my new goodies :) My Essie Sweet Time of the Year collection also arrived today. Don't you just love it when your packages arrive with all these goodies?! I do!

And of course, I found out from Mary that today is Lucy's birthday. And I just want to wish her a Happy Birthday! Thanks for reading my blog and leaving comments that makes me smile! =) Hope your day is filled with happiness and love!

That's all I have for today :)

OPI Suede Part I

Hi everyone! I am ... overwhelmed by school work. So overwhelmed that my nails are chipping and peeling and I don't even have the time to change it lol (I'm against chipping nail polish)

But anyways, finally got my hands on the OPI Suede collection. I've been dying to try them and I love them. They're a lot better than the Matte collection. I only have 3 of 6 to show for today, the other 3 should be up by tomorrow, or Thursday latest.

By the way, it is FREEZING here in New York. Just last week, the temperatures dropped from high 60's to low 40's. What the hell!

Ok enough, babbling..

We'll Always Have Paris - Soft purple rose with lots and lots of shimmers. Looks nothing like the original. I like the suede version a lot.

Russian Navy - navy blue matte again with lots of shimmers. Also nothing like the original. Why didn't they give these new names??

OPI Ink - I've noticed a lot of bloggers have trouble capturing OPI Ink's true color on camera. Of course it appears blue, but its more purple than blue in real life. This picture makes it seem like it's the exact same as Russian Navy. -_- Please ignore the dent on my index finger xD

I'm loving this collection so far, it was easier application than the matte, a lot smoother for sure. All were done in 2 coats. I've applied Essie's first base coat, as a base coat. Of course you gotta let it completely dry before applying the suede nail polishes.

That's all I have for you today, until next time!

My mistake on my previous post

I'm getting ready for work as I read my comments from my readers. And I have mixed up the names for Fortune Teller and Spellbound. What was I doing while typing up that post? I don't know but of course many of you know, the previous post is Fortune Teller not spellbound!

China Glaze FORTUNE TELLER and Matte Magic

China Glaze Spellbound Fortune Teller was the one nail polish I was looking forward to putting on. I went all the way to Sally Beauty to buy this one (about a 20 minute drive). It's a Sally Beauty exclusive. Definitely worth it!

A sheer black base with copper glitters. The glitters are all different shapes as you can see. It's raining cats and dogs here so I just took a picture indoors with natural light from my window. This was done in three coats because the black base was a little sheer. Two would've done the job. I can't stop staring at it xD

But of course, China Glaze also came out with a Matte top coat called Matte Magic, in it's cutest little .325 fl oz. bottle. It's so adorable, like the babies of China Glaze bottles.

Spellbound Fortune Teller looks amazing in matte. I can't choose which one I like most because they're both gorgeous.

Is anyone else stalking the essie website for the Mint Candy Apple? I know I am! xD

And I got 50 followers now! yay!

EDIT: OK I tried to fix up a layout for my blog but I accidentally deleted a code and screwed everything up. I'm gonna have to use one of blogger's template for now -_-

EDIT EDIT: Wow what's going on with me lately. This is FORTUNE TELLER not SPELLBOUND. Thanks to reader xsplattergirlx for pointing it out haha

Itty Bitty Parts of Essie Summer Collection

Yes I know, Summer is over. Even though the season is over, my nails don't change. I've only bought three of the six colors that came out, for those have caught my attention.

Lovie Dovie - Light pink creme. Please excuse the little indents. I was sick and went straight to bed and woke up with these xD

Cute As A Button - Light coral pinkish creme. This was my favorite of all three.

Chubby Cheeks - pink-orange-coral creme. Another interesting color. Also coral mixed with orange. This one is more orange than cute as a button.

That's all I have for you today. I am so overwhelmed by all these new polishes, that I've neglected all my old and untried nail polishes :( But eventually I will get to them. In the future, instead of posting a whole collection, I might just post NOTD. This have many pros: my blog will be updated daily (or as much as I can), and I will be able to get to my old polishes faster. I don't know about you guys but I enjoy seeing swatches of old nail polishes, because all these new polishes, pretty much every nail blogger has shown swatches of it.

BTW, have you guys seen the eBay auction on the infamous discontinued Clarins 230? I find it ridiculous. eBay is so evil! Why can't these companies just see how much people are willing to pay for their discontinued nail polishes. If they can remake them, I bet they'll make lots more. I also saw Starry Starry Night up on eBay as well and it went for a pretty high price too. SIGH!!

Oh and btw, I'm feeling a lot better ever since last week. I still got the sniffles and still coughing, but at least no fever xD

Essie Loves Diamonds by Judith Ripka

Hi everyone. I just finished 3 of 5 midterms. And not to mention I'm sick with a cold and a sore throat. I hate sore throats! And I absolutely hate being sick, I hope I feel better soon.

Anyways, Essie Loves Diamonds by Judith Ripka. I really don't know what got me to buy this collection because there was absolutely nothing unique about it, except the fact that it is infused with diamond dust... well anyways here are the swatches..

Put A Ripka Ring On It - A pale pink creme with diamond accent. A little sheer but typical for Essie. This was done in four coats.

Queen of Hearts - Bright red creme. Two coats

Heart My JR Jewels - Deep brown creme. Two coats.

No application problems, dried fast. I was hoping that the diamond dusts will show more, but they are very very subtle. I only saw a few on the bottle and while applying them. Other than that they are not seen on the nails alone. But yup that's that. Time to go rest my sick body. *tears*

Essie Fall 2009 Collection + lil pumpkins

Hey hey! I just finished classes with two midterms. I am both physically and mentally drained from all this non-stop studying. I have three more midterms to go. SIGH! Anyways, I am extremely late on the Essie Fall 2009 collections, so as a bonus I added some adorable little glow in the dark pumpkins for your viewing pleasures :D

Chinchilly - soft light gray creme. It looks slightly taupe to me. I don't think there are any gray's like chinchilly (plus it has such an adorable name!) Reminds of the cute little critters chinchillas; in which I've always want one ever since I saw/pet one on a class trip in 4th grade (yes I still remember)

Don't you just want to say "AWW!!"?

Angoria Cardi - mauve rosey purple creme? I can't really describe this color because it's so different. Nevertheless, such an interesting color.

Mink Muffs - Warm taupe/mauve/brown creme. Another hard color to describe. Looks brown but there's more to it in person.

Midnight Cami - Deep midnight blue shimmer. Uber lots of shimmer once the sun hits. Looks a little boring because it's like a blackened blue.

Bright Tights - neon orange. This is the first time I took a picture of my right hand. It was....hard for me lol I felt like I couldn't even hold the bottle right! But I did konad on my left hand before I realized I didn't take a picture of this alone. Very bright orange as you can see from the pictures (taken under flourescent lights).

Pink Parka - Light neon pink. Another blinding neon. These two neon collections in the fall is quite interesting I must say. But of course it's cool I guess.

All in all this collection kind of surprised me. I was hesitating to get it because it didn't seem interesting to me. I'm glad I got them because they're all almost unique colors (besides the last three) But if you haven't bought this collection yet; I'd say chinchilly, angoria cardi, and mink muffs is a must have to your collection! Majority of these were done in 2 coats, except for the neons in which I did 3 coats on them.

Now for the goodies... check out these little pumpkin nail polishes I stumbled across from Rite Aid for $2. They're so adorable that I went on and buy it. These were the only two colors they had in that store, but I saw on other bloggers that there were more colors, so I'm gonna do some hunting! I added the Wet'n'Wild Fantasy Makers in the back just to make it look cute hehe

And check out the glow!

I tried my best to take a picture of my nails glowing, but the glow is really hard to capture..

And to end this entry, here the Konad I did. I actually like this one and so many people complimented on them. It reminds me of those orange creme hard candies from lifesavers yummy<3

Well that's all I have for you today!
