More China Glaze Glitters (Last batch)

My last set of China Glaze's glitters. As you can tell I didn't buy much. But chose carefully the ones I really wanted, which was quite hard. The ones you're about to see today are mostly for top coats, but I think they look fine alone beside seeing my nails..

Techno - a clear base with multi-sized glitters. This one is my favorite because it's so unique. I love the big dots of glitters that stands out. Reminds me of a disco ball.

Stellar - a medium beige/brown shimmer. Gorgeous shade. Really natural and love it.

Shooting Stars - clear base coat packed with micro glitters and a few big glitters. Probably would look hot over some colors.

Medallion - clear base coat with mostly gold glitters but it's multicolored as well. I've always wanted to have gold glitters on my nails haha.

Well that's all I have today. I'm also planning a small contest soon (which will be my first giveaway). More details on that later on.

Enjoy your Sunday, and don't dread for Monday's like I am.

MAC Magic, Mirth, and Mischief Holiday Collection 2009

Hi all! Today I have the MAC Magic, Mirth, and Mischief Holiday Collection 2009 nail lacquers. The collection consists of two metallic colors. The formulas for these two are extremely streaky. I got a little frustrated applying them because of the visible brush strokes. They're very opaque within one coat, but I always do two or three coats. These are three coats.

$$$$$ Yes - metallic silver foil. This is a re-release. There are plenty of metallic silvers out there and this one isn't all that. But this is my first metallic silver nail polish. I've never tried it and I must say I love the look of metallic silver on my nails!

Lucky Number - a metallic blue pink. This is a pretty color. The brush strokes are less visible on this one. I am not a fan of metallic nail polishes but it's new and fresh for me. I'm beginning to grow on them. I'm looking forward to try the China Glaze Khrome collection though!

Overall, this collection is so-so. I like it because it's a new look for me. Others will probably think ehh, I can get cheaper metallics elsewhere (and I agree).

That's all I have for today!

My Beauty Stash

So totally off nail polish topic. But I was organizing my Sephora Train Case and decided to take pictures of majority of the cosmetics that I own.

These are all my tools; make-up brushes, tweezer, eye-lash curler, eyebrows trimmer. And my favorite Kat Von D eye brush set!

The face section, just a few Nars bronzer, blush, Smashbox Foundation Primer, bare escentuals mineral ID, matte foundation, mineral viel, and MAC's beauty powder and a blush I never used. Oh and a Cargo bronzer I got as a free sample from Sephora.

These are the lips section, just a few lip glosses, and very little lipsticks. I'm more of a chapstick girl. I barely wear lip gloss or lipsticks. Just a mix of Dior, Mac, bare essentials, Murad to name a few.

Eyes - Fake eyelashes that I never even tried. Concealers, Anastasia eye brow gel. Lots of Mascaras ranging from Dior, Chanel, CoverGirl, Urban Decay. And plenty of eyeliners. These are what I wear daily. Mascara and eyeliner is a must have for me!

Some of my shadows from Nars, Urban Decay, Victoria's Secret Very Sexy, Lorac, bare escentuals, Laura Mercier, Dior, and smashbox.

And here are my favorite eyeshadows. Kat Von D eye shadow palettes.

Smashbox Eye Wish Palette

The inside. Never got to try this yet.

And here's everything inside the case. Prior to organizing I thought I needed to buy a new case because everything was cluttered and barely had any room to find stuff. But I guess the organizing helped.

I am also waiting for my Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol II to come. So excited!!

Dior Silver Purple Holiday 2009

Happy Friday! And no work for me tomorrow woohoo! SO! Today I have for you ladies Dior Silver Purple. This is my first time trying out Dior nail polishes and let me tell you what my smart-arse did. As I was getting ready to put the nail polish, I was trying to open it.. and I couldn't. I used all my force and might and it still didn't budge. So I'm like what the hell?! Getting frustrated, I was about to just give up and paint my nails a different color..

Here's a bad webcam pic of the bottle for you guys.

But wait! Long and behold!

Who would've knew?! *smacks forehead* I didn't know it was like Chanel nail polish bottles. I mean I should've known that since most square bottles are like that. But yes it did take me a good 5 minutes to figure that out... blah haha

Dior Silver Purple - in the sun! This was taken early in the morning at 7 am as I was getting ready to leave for work, hence the orangey-ness. You barely see any purple, but when I asked my boyfriend if he liked this color he's like what is it purple? So I guess there is some hint of purple in there. Shimmery charcoal purple I would call it. Love it. Done in 3 coats. Two did the job though.

And here under fluorescent lights, you can see more of the 'silver'.

Application flawless. I love nail polishes like these that causes no trouble and doesn't make me wanna throw the polish out the window. It wasn't thick or gooey. It was just perfect.

This is out for the holiday collection available at nordstrom.com and sephora.com. However, for $18, it's a wallet killer >_<

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

OPI Sunbelievable Summer 2009

So yes, I'm like a season late. But better late than never haha I totally forgot I had these until I was organizing my stash to pick the ones that I've never tried and I'm like wow I never had this color on my nails! I finally separated my stash and now have an "untried" stash so now I'm more organized and update faster!

So yes this collection came out in summer and they're summer colors. But there's no rule for me whether I can wear bright nails when it's fall time. :) Is there? >_>

Sea? I Told You - a gorgeous aqua blue shimmer. Holy smackeroles is this color gorgeous or what? I had this on for 3 days! So shimmery, so shiney, so lovely!

I'm His Coral-Friend - an orange coral creme. This hurts my eye a little lol.. This was pretty sheer (like most of the collection) nothing exciting about this one.

If The Fucshia Fits.. - a hot pink fucshia shimmer. Again ntohing so amazing about this one except it's an eye popping color.

Banana Bandanna - sofy butter yellow pastel. Wow! I love this one! My favorite. Although this was a b*tch to put on (FIVE coats!!) it was worth it. Absolutely gorgeous. If you look REALLY REALLY closely at the bottle there's tiny micro glittery shimmers.

This collection was mediocre. Only Banana Bandanna and Sea? I Told You is the one that stands out the most. Definitely two unique colors. All four were very sheer which needed 3+ coats. Other than that, no complaints :)

So that's that, a side note: Trans Design e-tailer has the China Glaze Ooh Ahz Returns available for ordering. Order soon! :)

Zoya Matte Velvet Winter 2009

I'm sitting at home bored waiting for my night class to start which seems like forever. So I decided to take the time to update. I finally got to try the Zoya Matte Velvet collection for Winter 2009. I must say the formula is superb. Nothing like the Fall Matte Velvet collection. These were a lot smoother, and applies evenly. Not to mention great colors as well!

Veruschka - emerald green matte shimmer. Wow is all I have to say. I wish I had a better picture to show you but this was all I had.

Savita - a blue toned purple matte shimmer. This one kind of have hints of golden pink to it. This was my favorite out of the three. For me to pick a color other than green as my fav in the collection sure means something.

Harlow - a rosey purple matte shimmer. I am wearing this right now hehe. It leans more toward purple than pink-ish.

Overall, these are my favorite matte collections. Not only were they easy to apply, the colors are amazing. Definitely worth the money :)

Illamasqua Rampage

Finished my last midterm for this semester! Now I just have the finals to worry about :(

So today, I have Illamasqua's Rampage to show. I'm sure many have seen this color already, or probably own it. I had this for awhile, and I would've expect to swatch this right away, but I totally got distracted by all the new polishes that were delivered to me.

Anyways, it's my first time trying out Illamasqua. Absolutely no complaints here. Smooth, perfect formula. However, I did this in 3 coats, just because...I want to. Two coats would've been fine. Definitely more Illasmasqua products for me in the future :)

Rampage - dark green creme. Look at this beauty. It's so gorgeous. Perfect in every way. The perfect dark green polish. No flaws. Definitely worth $14. Thank you Illasmasqua!

Borghese Serena Nail Laquer Mini Kit

Hi guys! Catching up on my posts. Today I have the Borghese Mini Kit in Serena. I found this mini set at Rite-Aid in which I forgot the price.. it was around $7.99 - $9.99 a little pricey for mini's but there was one color in there that looks absolutely stunning!

These polishes don't have names, so I'm just going to label them 1, 2, 3, and 4 (according to the order they came in)

I found this pouch a little cute. And mini's are just so adorable! It's like the babies of regular sized nail polishes!

#1 - a brown based creme packed with silver glitters. Sheer but three coats did the job.

#2

#2 - My favorite of the bunch! A gorgeous charcoal gray, green, purple, blue duo chrome. It looks absolutely stunning! I hope Borghese makes a big bottle of this. I tried my best to picture all the colors. But I can't seem to really capture the green or the purple. I love this one.

#3 - A clear base with red, pink, purple, and blue glitters. I bet it looks amazing as a top coat over a dark purple base (like #4)

#4 - A vampy purple shimmer. Looks like a plain jane, but I like it. I just wished I tried the glitter #3 over it. Bet it would look amazing.

This is my first time trying Borghese nail polish. And I am satisfied. Mini's were quite harder to apply because of the size, but application was flawless. No streaks and no clumps. I'm looking forward to trying more Borghese nail polishes in the future :)

I'm done with two of my hardest exam's today. And I have one more to go!

China Glaze Pink Glitters and a little extra

I am uber behind on my posts and I apologize for that. Second midterms are up and I'm almost done with it (my last one is on Thursday). I'm sneaking in a little time to put up some China Glaze glitters (yes more) and a little extra :) I have three pinks ones from this collection; Bad Kitty, Preppy Pink, and Carnival Lights

Bad Kitty - My picture makes it look more red than pink. But this is a very dark pink jampacked with glitters.

Preppy Pink - A soft baby pink with glitters.

Carnival Lights - A more purple pink glitter. This one have tiny glitters mixed with bigger glitters :) Me likey!

And for my little extra, the Yankees won the 2009 World Series. And I am a Yankees fan. To show my pride for them I did a little nail art. Sorry to the non-sport fans having to see these :D

I used China Glaze Calypso Blue, and to draw the Yankee's logo I used the Sally Hansen Nail art pens.

Used rescue beauty lounge underwear. And for the stripes and logo I did freehand with a thin brush with Rescue Beauty Lounge Teal!

I also have a lot of reading to catch up to for all those other blogs. So, sorry if I haven't commented :(

That's all I have for now. Back to intensive studying! Ciao all!

China Glaze Blue Hawaiian

Hi all! I have another China Glaze specialty nail polish to show today! More glitters!

Beautiful sky blue packed with tons of glitters!

These are such pain in the tush to remove!! But I have so much more glitters to show I don't know what to do! Haha I also want more! I'm tempted to buy the rest of it but I feel as if I'm not gonna like all of them :(

That's all I have for you today guys! Gotta make this post short!
