China Glaze Black Magic Special from VNS

Good day everyone. I am bored out of my mind. I'm off work this whole week except Friday. And school starts Thursday. I'm kind of excited for school to start, because at least it'll give me something to do -_-

So today I have the special glitter made for Victoria's Nail Supply. I first saw this on Mary's blog and I thought to myself sure this is a must have.

I must say that I am SLIGHTLY disappointed. The copper glitter on the bottle looks so opaque, but once applied on the nail is rarely to be seen. It took me 3 coats which was quite bumpy but after a top coat it was fine. I also used China Glaze magic matte to see how it would be like compared to Fortune Teller. Unfortunately it is nothing compared to Fortune Teller, as fortune teller was more glittery than this black magic. However, you still see the coppery glitters once mattified.

That is all I have for today. Once again, if you're a follower and you don't see your blog on my blog list, please let me know and I'll be glad to add you! Thanks again :)

Hello fellow nail polish lovers! Today I have for you guys Lippmann Collection's Don't Tell Mama. A very vampy green with green micro-glitter shimmers. First picture was taken with no sun because of all these gloomy days -_- But in that picture you can see how dark the green is and the slight green micro-glitters. Second picture taken under fluorescent lights to see more of the greens. Done under two coats with a top coat.

So that is all I have for today! <3

Milani Totally Cool

Hey everyone! Hope every one's weekend is going good so far :)

Today I have for you Milani's Totally Cool. It's my first time trying Milani nail polishes and I like it thus far.

Totally Cool is a purple base with pinkand purple micro glitters. I think this polish is absolutely cute. And the color is amazing. Of course my camera didn't capture the true color of this purple. I got this at a CVS it's still available every drugstore I see.

I went to get a hair cut on Saturday, and I decided to get a new look by cutting my hair off. I now look like Cleopatra.. LOL! I'm not use to it but people telling me it looks nice on me! So I don't know :(

I hope every one enjoys their Sunday and not dread for Monday tomorrow like I am. Toodles love<3

Illamasqua MILF

Hey ya'll! TGIF :) I skipped work today due to some personal issues, but I'm recovering now. Today I have for you Illamasqua MILF. Quite an interesting name eh?

Milf is a dusty mint green. I can't get enough of mint greens as to how much I love them. There are many similar shades, though I don't think I've seen one like MILF. It's more pale than OPI Damone Roberts. More dull and not as bright but it's still um sexy in my opinion.

The formula was a little thick and I had slight problems applying them. It seemed a little thick but once it dried with seche vite top coat it looks better. It is highly pigmented, only took two coats for full coverage.

What do you guys think? Are any of you sick of mint greens yet? Because I'm sure not! Keep them coming!

Hard Candy Nail Polishes & One Year Anniversary

Hey everyone! I just realized today marks one year anniversary for this blog. When I first started I didn't expect much people to read it. I honestly wrote it for myself as a hobby and for a few of my friends who likes nail polish as well. I want to give a HUGE thanks for all my readers. Thank you for those who comment on a daily basis. It makes me so happy to read comments. It makes me even happier to know I have readers! And to my astonishment I have over 100 readers (141 to be exact). I also can't believe I kept on with this blog, I thought I was going to give up after a few months. Little did I know :) *tears*

Moving on........

So I finally went to Walmart. I don't live near a Walmart at all. But I was on my way to a mall that was NEAR a Walmart, and I'm like hm.. maybe they'll carry Hard Candy nail polishes and they did! I only bought four that caught my eye.

Mr. Wrong - silver, grey, gold, steel blue metallic shimmer. Mr. Wrong is the best seller of this collection. Seems like this one won everyone's heart! This was the only polish I wanted at first too!

Frenzy - a greenish blue creme. This was the only creme that caught my eye hehe

Envy - a dark greenish shimmer. Close to black

Break Up - clear base with hexagonal glitters. The glitters look gold and yellow on here but on the bottle it shows blue green purple and all of that. It's better as a top coat as you can see.

I am so happy Hard Candy came back. These nail polishes were flawless, all took two coats and applied wonderfully. No complaints whatsoever. I love em!

That's all I have for today! <3

Illasmasqua Fern

The weekend is here yay!

Today I have for you another Illamasqua nail polish in Fern.

A vibrant blue hue with silver micro-glitters. It is a very unique blue that I have seen similar ones but not exact dupes of this blue. My camera didn't capture the exact color but that's as close as I can get. This is a nail polish that definitely needs to be seen in person to adore it.

Wishing you all a great weekend! <3

China Glaze The Wizard of Ooh Ahz Collection

Hey everyone. Just a little heads up today's pictures are total crap. And I say that because I don't even know why I didn't retake any of the pictures. They looked decent on my camera display, but when they were uploaded on my computer they were either too blurred or just too blah. So I would like to apologize for that.

China Glaze re-released the Wizard of Ooh Ahz collection. (Thank you for that) for those who were anticipating for the long discontinued Dorothy Who? can now have the great polish.

The Ten Man - light white silver frost with silver glitters. Quite sheer, this was 3 coats. PLEASE excuse the smudge on my pinky. I honestly didn't even realize it smudged >_>

Good Witch? - light pink frost with silver microglitters. This was bumpy even with a top coat and you can even see the bumpyness. Weird =/ I didn't really like this one..

Dorothy Who? - blue based jelly with blue and silver glitters. I really wish I got a better picture of this one. It's such a stunning nail polish. Done in three coats. I love the jelly finish<3

Cowardly Lyin' - yellow/gold frost with microglitters. I like this one a lot.

C-C-Courage - blue/purple frost with silver micro-glitters. It's more purple in real life. Of course camera's can't capture true purples. I don't know why. I'm a photographer myself and I can't clarify it. Only in nail polish though. Other purples can be captured perfectly, just not on nails -_-

Ruby Pumps was also part of this collection, but I didn't swatch it because we've all seen it. I now have three bottles of Ruby Pumps and I do not mind at all. It's a gorgeous red glitter anyway xD

So that is all I have for you today my ladies. Hope everyone have a good Thursday!

Rescue Beauty Lounge Purple Haze

I'm slow on the updating I know T_T I'm trying my best! Today I have for you Rescue Beauty Lounge Purple Haze. Another great polish from RBL.

Webcam pic

My expensive Nikon camera never seems to capture the true colors of purple-ish polishes. HOWEVER, my 15 year old $60 webcam can! What the heck!

I think my webcam pic shows more of its purple than my Nikon. It's not at all blue-ish in person.

I have to run, but I just wanted to do a quick post before I leave! I promise a better post next time!!

OPI Creme de Menthe

Good day all! Today I have for you my prize possession. I say that because it is my favorite nail polish of ALL times. OPI Creme de Menthe. A very hard to find nail polish. If you do see one I think you should snatch it up right away!

Creme de Menthe - a mint green with gold shimmer

It is absolutely gorgeous, as you can see there's slight tipwear. I've wore this for 3 days straight =O hehe this was done in 4 coats. I wouldn't say application was flawless because I'm so used to the new OPI prowide brushes. Therefore it was a little tough for me to apply.

Nevertheless, great nail polish. I love it! I wish OPI would rerelease this one too!

OPI Holiday Wishes Collection 2009

Happy 2010 my lovelies! Sorry I haven't been around. I've been VERY lazy lately considering work starts again this week. I enjoyed my time off. But it's back to business.

So today I have the OPI Holiday Wishes Collection. I didn't get all of it. Well not many of the reds that is, being that I don't really like red nail polishes =X

But this collection is awesome. Flakies and glitters, oh my!

Let's start with the cremes in this collection shall we? :)

Ginger Bells - an orangey brownish caramelish? creme. Reminds me of gingerbread men! I actually didn't have any last year =_=

All A-Bordeaux the Sled - a dark vampy burgundy creme. Almost black but can see slight reds/browns on certain lights.

Sapphire in the Snow - a dark blue purple creme. Leans more towards the purple than the blue.

And we move on to the glitters<3

Smitten with Mittens - deep red with gold glitters. omgosh<3 ok very similar to China Glaze Ruby Pumps and Color Club's Ruby Slippers. But not a dupe. It's much darker than both. I think this one would come in second for my red glitters. Essie still wins my heart =X

Holiday Glow - a brownish red base packed with gold glitters!! This is great. I love it!

And finally the flakies<3<3<3

Shim-Merry Chic - bronzed golden shimmer with glitters and flakies! Please ignore the dents on my index and middle finger -_-

Merry Midnight - Is THE best polish everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! Deep purple with glitters and flakies! I absolutely love this one. OPI did a great job! I can't stop staring at it!

All these were done in three coats for the depth of the colors. There are 5 other 'reds' in this collection in which I had no interest in but I'm sure it looks just as great on you ladies.

That's all I have today. I can't believe how behind I am on things. My "never tried on" stash is getting bigger and bigger. :(

Hope everyone have a lovely Monday<3
