China Glaze Bare If You Dare

Hey every one! Quick update before I head to bed, it's almost 12 AM here. I apologize for the lack of update and the lack of response to the comments. I've been so busy lately and it's annoying because this is suppose to be my spring break :(

I have for you China Glaze's Bare If You Dare. I bought this awhile back because I thought it would be a dupe for OPI's Love Me Tender (before I found a cheap one on amazon)

Although it is not the exact dupe of it, I'm glad I got this polish because it is a stunning peachy color with golden shimmer. Although it is a bit sheer, this took 4 coats and the drying time was a little long. As you can see my index nail has a slight dent, and that's within 20 minutes after the manicure!

So I'm sorry that I have to make this post short, but I am extremely pooped out and in great need of sleep. Good night everyone!

China Glaze Flying Dragon

Hey ya'll! How's everyone doing on this Sunday evening? I'm on Spring break now. I am so glad to have this break, since I need it bad. The boyfriend left for Cali yesterday so now I'm even more lonely -_- At least I have Bebe to keep me company for now!

So I have for you China Glaze's Flying Dragon. A purple base with tons silver micro-glitters. This was done in 3 coats and it dried matte so I applied a top coat with it. I believe this is the most stunning purple ever! I would clarified this as my top purple. Second picture is taken with flash to show the shimmers. And the last picture is taken with my webcam to show more of the purple.

And that is all I have for you today. I've plenty of polishes to try, and I can't wait to get my hands on them. Hope everyone had a lovely weekend!

Barry M Mint Green

Hey everybody! Today I have for you Barry M's Mint Green. This is my first time trying Barry M nail polishes as I have never heard of them before because they're an international brand. I got this one off eBay because shipping was cheaper for it.

Mint Green - done in 3 coats *drools*

This was supposed to be a MAC Peppermint Patti dupe. Below I did a little comparison with the two colors, and it's not an exact dupe but it's very very similar.

Left is MAC and right is Barry M. As you can see Peppermint Patti is slightly brighter than Mint Green. For those who never got the chance to own Peppermint Patti, Barry M's mint green is a good alternative.

Oh these mint greens make me feel so dreamy.. :) haha

So I know I was suppose to be on a no-buy zone. But seriously, has anyone been successful at that? Those who follow me on Twitter, knows that I did a major haul for BB Couture nail polishes. And I also took advantage of Nubar's 20% off for St. Patty's Day. And since I was already buying nail polishes, I also ordered a few from Diamond Cosmetics, and Nfu-Oh. I need to make an order on TransDesign soon. I'm running out of nail polish remover.. yikes!

So that is all I have for today!

OPI Pink Me I'm Good

Hey all! It's late, but I wanted to get an entry in before I hit the sheets. So I've been lemming OPI's Pink Me I'm Good since I saw swatches of it. Unfortunately, it was a Valentines Day exclusive for Ulta. Even more unfortunate, there are absolutely no near by Ulta's here in New York. Bummer for me. But! With pure luck, I saw a giveaway for this polish from Dia on Honest Babes. I've decided to try my luck, and to my surprise, I was the winner. So you can imagine how extremely happy I was. Those who are unfamiliar with her blog should check it out, she shows lovely swatches!

Pink Me I'm Good - pink jelly packed with gold glitters. 3 coats, direct sunlight.

And here it is in flash to show the gold glitters.

I love it. Thank you so much Dia for this giveaway! You made one nail polish lover really happy!

Dia also included this oh so adorable spring chic mini OPI's. The bottles are so tiny and so cute!

Well that's all I have for you guys. Good night everyone! <3

ORLY Sweet Spring Collection 2010

Happy Friday! It's such a gorgeous day out today and it puts me in such a great mood. Today I have for you ORLY's Sweet Spring Collection for 2010. I absolutely love this collection because I am a pastel lover. Anything pastel is a must have for me, no matter HOW similar or identical the colors are. Hence, spring collections are my favorite because of all the pastels!

Snowcone - baby blue creme. 3 coats

Pixy Stix - pink/coral creme. 3 coats. Oh huh? How did that pig get over there? >_>

Lollipop - medium lavender creme. 3 coats

Lemonade - pastel yellow creme. 3 coats. Must tell you application was smooth. You know how majority of yellows are toughies.

Gumdrop - pastel turquoise creme. 3 coats. Beauty!

Cotton Candy - baby pink creme. 3 coats

Cotton Candy with Konad design ( I can never remember the plate #'s)

SO..overall this collection is lovely. Orly brand is starting to attract me even more because of their formula. I've yet to have a problem with their applications. Hopefully they will produce more great colors such as these beauties!

These were all done with 3 coats and a top coat. Pastels are perfect for konad and I'm a little upset I didn't get to play around with them more. Since I got some new konad plates I want to have more fun! But I also wish I had the time for it -_-

So anyways, that is all I have for you guys today.

Happy St. Patricks Day with Claire's Green Chunky

Howdy ya'll! Happy St. Patrick's Day! I was browsing around everyone's blog looking at their St. Patty's mani and they all look amazing! I didn't have time this year to do any nail art or anything. So I just stuck with Claire's Green Chunky.

I've never tried any of Claire's nail polishes before. Although a few years back in JHS, I remember I always go to this store for their jeweleries and other accessories. Never had I thought about nail polishes then.

Green Chunky - green glitter with hexagonal glitters. It was done in three coats, though could used four for opacity.

I love how shiny, and glittery, and chunky this nail polish is.

Anyways, so I've been uber busy lately. My mom left to Hong Kong the other day, so now I have one less person to help me around. She'll be back within a month though! I told her to buy me some souvenirs, I wonder what she will get me!

Other than that, New York was also hit with a storm on Saturday and the tree in my backyard fell. Good thing it fell sideways and didn't hit my house, but it did hit the patio and the fences and all.

One of the famous parks in Brooklyn called Marine Park looked like a tornado hit it. Trees were torn from their roots. This never happened in New York so you can imagine all the craziness and people freaking out.

OK I'll stop boring you guys with the weather, but to end it on a good note, it's sunny and 65 degrees right now!!

Enjoy your day guys!

MAC Coconut Ice

Hey guys! Today I have for you MAC's Coconut Ice from the MAC in Lillyland collection. I have an obsession with coral cremes. And this one is just gorgeous!

Coconut Ice - coral-pink creme

Done in three coats and surprisingly not streaky (you know how MAC nail polishes are)

I've been addicted to MAC lately especially for their lipsticks. And here's the thing, I don't even wear lipstick! But I'm falling in love with Viva Glam Gaga. Since the Liberty of London collection came out, I took the opportunity to order a few more. Doesn't hurt to try something new :)

As far as my nail polish mind goes, I don't recall any exact dupes of Coconut Ice. There may be similar ones. I guess it's your typical pink coral creme. I love Spring because of the pastel colors :D Can you guess what collection I have up next?

Zoya Ultra Glitter Collection

Hey guys! I'm late on this post but better late than never. I finally got to try Zoya's Ultra Glitter collection. So much dust has been collected on these bottles because I haven't touched it for so long =X

So on with the swatches:

Nova- a dark fuchsia glitter

Luna - light gray silver base with silver glitters

Astra - a reddish pink glitter

So my opinion is I loved all three of them, but my favorite happens to be Astra. I don't own any glitters like such color. It's gorgeous. Luna is also gorgeous too with it's silver light base along with silver glitters. As for Nova, it's like Roxy but I think it's darker. I've never tried Roxy before, it's still on my untried storage.

All these were done in three coats, it was smooth application. However, you should definitely let it dry before applying the next coat which will cause 'balding' on the nails (as shown in my ring finger for Luna)

I don't know whether I love this collection. I think I just like it. I'm not too hyped up about them, but don't get me wrong, they're pretty colors. Just not my taste I guess :)

That's all I have for today!

Orly Metal Chic Collection

Hey everyone! How's everybody doing on this fine Saturday? I'm done with 3 of 4 midterms today. School has got me SO stressed, I seriously can't for it to be over. And not to mention, the weather is finally getting better. I can't wait for summer!

So today I have the Orly's Metal Chic collection. A collection that consists of three shimmery mattes. I was going to pass up on this collection because I thought to myself, more mattes? But I decided to give it a try.

These came out as a surprise to me. The formula is perfect. There were no streaks at all and applied so smooth, and even feels smooth. All were done in three coats. Not to mention they dried super fast too :)

Solid Gold - a nice gold shimmery matte.

Iron Butterfly - charcoal black silver shimmer finish matte

Glam Rock - coppery/bronzey metallic shimmer matte.

The shimmers on these are amazing that I couldn't help but to see how even more amazing the shimmers are with a top coat! And tada!

Solid Gold

Iron Butterfly

Glam Rock

It comes alive!!

OK so that's all I have for you guys today. Hope everyone enjoys a lovely weekend before we dread on Monday. -_-

Love to all<3

OPI Dulce de Leche

Happy hump day! I guess this week is OPI week for me? lol Anyways today I have OPI's Dulce de Leche. I first bought this because of the name only to fall in love with it. It's very neutral in which I love. This one suits my skin tone as well unlike the other nudes. It is by far my favorite beige!

Dulce de Leche - done in three coats and applied smoothly

My nails are not that long anymore. It broke -_- no surprise there!

OPI Spam (and major picture fail)

Hey guys! A few months back I ordered a bunch of 'old' OPI nail polishes that I didn't have. I wasn't as satisfied with them as I thought I would be. And before you even begin looking at these pictures. I failed terribly at trying to capture the colors. I couldn't sleep last night so I stayed up doing swatches and taking pictures of it with my lamp light.

So here we go:

Yoga-ta Get This Blue! - a navy blue shimmer

Who Are You Wearing? - a dark blackened purple shimmer

Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees - an uber dark teal creme I'd say.

You Otta Wear Purple - a sheer plum purple shimmer. Four coats.

Midnight in Moscow - shimmery vampy red. It appears almost black with red shimmers.

Live From's OPI - bronze shimmer. I only got this for the name, being that I'm from NY :)

Here Today...Aragon Tomorrow - blackened green creme.

Eiffel for this Color - blackened purple shimmer. Yes another one. Terrible picture. Sorry.

Black Cherry Chutney - this I would say a reddish dark shimmer.

At Your Quebec & Call - dark olive green. My favorite of the bunch. Actually the only one I like lol

Sorry if my color descriptions seems dull. I'm just totally not feeling most of these colors. And when I'm not feeling them I can't describe them. I don't know if anyone else have the same problem >_>

But now that I got rid of majority of these OPIs, I can finally start working on other untried nail polishes that are more newer (and better hopefully).

So that is all I have for today!
