Essie Resort Collection 2010

Greetings nail polish lovers! I finally got around to the Essie Resort Collection for 2010.

I love the colors and the names for this collection!

Turquoise & Caicos - a turquoise/aqua creme. 3 coats. This sure does remind me of Turks and Caicos Islands. Absolutely gorgeous.

Splash of Grenadine - a purple/pink creme. 3 coats. Grenadine is a red syrup used in cocktails. Nothing really similar to the polish though.

Playa Del Platnium - sandy gray creme. 3 coats. Playa = beach in Spanish, Platnium = silver/gray? So haha creative

Lapis of Luxury - ocean blue creme. 3 coats. Lapis is a type of blue stone. So yet another creative name. Though this blue totally reminds me of the ocean more than lapis.

The colors are so summery. I love all four. Application of course is flawless. I love Essie nail polishes. The names just makes it a keeper!

------------------OFF TOPIC----------------------------

I just need to rant a little. Work is starting to really get on my nerves. I feel like a slave there. For those who don't know, I work at a medical office as a receptionist/medical biller. And seriously, they act like we are in an attorney's office. We're not allow to speak to each other. Occasionally we do but when we "get out of hand" my manager would go ape sh*t on us. And come on, we are all human, we make mistakes. One mistake there and they'll be on your a$s FOREVER. Oh here's another thing, we're not allowed to wear open toe shoes (flip flops, sandals) nor sneakers. We're not allow to wear jeans or sweat pants. We're not even allowed to step out! Is that even legal?! We all have to order delivery for lunch (or bring your own lunch) It's just absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. Might as well chain us to the desks and duck tape our mouths. It's not even a big medical office. It's just a regular doctor's office that specializes in cardiovascular diseases. I would quit but I need money for my nail polishes. I just can't WAIT to graduate and quit this damn job. Just six more months.

So that is all I have for today, since I have off tomorrow hopefully I'll be able to get some swatches done.

Love to all!

Icing Shimmer Pastel Collection

Hi! I have my day off today and as I was looking through old pictures I came across these and realized I never posted them! I *believe* I bought these sometime in March or April. I can't remember really. There are no Icing stores near me so it must have been during my shopping days.

I don't know if these are still available there being that I don't even go there often. They were mini's and came in a box set. One little annoying thing is they don't have names on them -_-

Anyhoo, all were taken at direct sunlight. All were three coats. Take a look!

Baby pink with hints of golden shimmer

Peach with golden shimmer

Grey with pink and gold shimmer

Baby blue with gold and pink shimmer

Mint green with pink and gold shimmer

Formulas were decent. These are my first Icing nail polishes. Can't really complain since I got the mini's so it was a little harder to apply with the teeny brush.

So that is all I have for today . . . until next time!

Maybelline Nail Polishes

Hi everyone! Today I have for you a few Maybelline nail polishes that were released a few months back. I don't think I ever tried Maybelline nail polishes before. But I think I tried one back in JHS. I just can't really remember =P

Vanishing Venus - brown with purple/green shimmer duochrome. 3 coats. Can you say GORGEOUS?! I'm in love. I received this from a special person who wants to remain anonymous. I'm so glad I got this because I've been lemming it and finally got it. I love it so much! Thank you anonymous person ;)

Sweety Pie - peachy pink creme. 3 coats

Minty - mint green/turquoise creme. 3 coats

La La Lime - soft green shimmer. 3 coats. This picture makes it look really bright when it really isn't. It's much softer in person. And tiny tiny microglitters are visible.

Goody Plum Drop - lavendar/pastel purple creme. 3 coats.

Formulas were pretty good and matched my satisfaction. Colors are gorgeous. Application was smooth not streaky. I think I would be buying more Maybelline polishes in the future!

Borghesem Milani, & Revlon

I'm finally updating! Gosh, life just gets busier and busier every day -_-

I have a bunch of Borghese, Milani, and Revlon's that I've bought for awhile and never got to try on.

Well I finally did with each as NOTD's instead of swatching it.

Limoncello -
yellow/gold frost. 3 coats. I am in LOVE with this one. I thought this would be my least favorite, but it turn out to be my favorite. It looks a little more gold with hint of yellow.

Pisatcchio - sheer shimmery green. 5 coats. Yes five coats. Any green that needs that many coats doesn't deserve my love. If it was opaque in 2 coats I would've like this more.

Plummagio Purple - blurple. 2 coats. Actually this is more navy blue than purple. It has hints of purple red shimmer in it but barely there. Looks purple on the bottle though.

Stellare Notte - blacken blue/green/purple duochrome. 2 coats. Very pretty.

Tutti Gelati - bright pink with microglitters. 2 coats. Very cute!

Digital - pink holo. 2 coats

Sweet - barbie pink creme. 3 coats

Lilac Pastelle - pastel lavendar creme. 3 coats. (Dries really slow)

Minted - pastel mint green creme. 3 coats (again dries terribly)

So all these are drugstore finds of course. Milani has the best formula/application IMO. Borghese formula is not bad either but their brush is hard to get used to. Revlon is kinda thick and the dry time is terrible.

I'm working on all my drugstore brand nail polishes this whole month. I have a lot of Sally Hansen to do... I hope I get to it >_<

I don't have time to do swatches anymore so my posts are gonna be slower since all the pics are literally gonna be NOTD pics. I hope that's OK with everyone :)

Color Clubs

Hey guys. I was going through my pictures and I realized I never posted these! A few Color Club nail polishes that I bought.

Twiggie - light neon green creme. 3 coats

Wild and Willing - golden orangey shimmer with a hint of green duochrome. 3 coats

Rebel Debutante - a bright neon green creme. 3 coats

Puccilicious - a gorgeous purple creme. My top favorite purple now! 3 coats

High Society - grey/brown taupe creme. 3 coats. Oops smudged =x

Twiggie and Rebel Debutante looks quite similar I know. However Twiggie is more soft than Rebel Debutante. I'm glad I chose these colors to buy because they're gorgeous. I wonder if I missed any other Color Clubs that came out recently. I didn't like the collections as much as I thought I would so I only chose a few!

Chanel Les Pop Up de Chanel Summer 2010

Hello all! Since summer officially started for me, I'm working more days now. That means less time for play :( boo hoo. I got all my grades back and I did very good, with a 3.30 semester GPA. Still trying to boost my cumulative GPA though.

Moving on...

I have Chanel's Les Pop Up de Chanel collection for 2010! I believe these sell out quick, especially Nouvelle Vague. Don't know about the other two though.

Rivera - deep pink creme. 2 coats

Nouvelle Vague - pastel turquoise creme. 3 coats

Mistral - soft pink creme with microglitter. 3 coats.

The formula for these were better than any of the previous Chanel polishes. It applied pretty well for me. didn't have much trouble.

Of course my favorite would have to be Nouvelle Vague. It's a gorgeous color.

So that is all for today..

PS - I'm glad you all enjoy the pet pictures. Thanks again to those who sent me your lovely pets!

PPS - I broke a nail at my BBQ last night. Really deep. So please ignore my short nails for the next few months :( I'm gonna miss these long nails.. sigh
