SpaRitual Nail Lacquers

I've heard about SpaRitual nail polishes awhile back, but I've never tried them myself. This is my first time and I'm definitely loving the quality of it. Although it's a little pricey on my side ($12 a bottle) I guess it's worth it, since we have Chanel polishes for $23 and the formula ain't even all that.

So anyways, I bought five colors which is most from their Spring and Summer 2010 lines. It was the only colors that interested me. But I am eying their Fall 2010 line because there are a bunch of gorgeous colors! Since I've spent so much money on the MAC Venomous Villains collection, I need to watch my spending for a bit for the upcoming months.

So here are the swatches:

Delight is a pale minty green creme with slight jelly finish. It's good to see a pale mint green as I've been seeing a lot of bright mint greens. I kind of like how soft this looks.

Full of Life is a pale baby blue creme. Again this is more soft than other baby blues I've tried.

Optical Illusion is a green shimmer full of silver and green glitter flecks. I love how this one looks. It's gorgeous. I just wish I captured a better picture of it.

Shoot For the Stars is a purple creme. Like a true purple. Purples polishes are my second favorites aside from green polishes. I've been looking for a true purple polish. This one appears darker in person than my picture reveals. I'm still looking for the perfect purple creme, and RBL's Mismas is my closest choice but still doesn't seal the deal for me.

Yes I Can! is a forest green creme. LOVE! After tons of mint greens this summer, I'm loving this dark creme. It is beautiful.

The formulas for these were all great. I didn't have any application issues whatsoever. My favorite has to be Yes I Can! Not because it's green...OK who am I lying, yes it's because it's green, but also because it's beautiful!

And that is all I have for today! Don't forget to enter my ManGlaze 600th followers giveaway, you have a bout 21 days left to enter! You can get to the entry from my sidebar!

AVON Going Green for Summer Collection

Just a few more posts on Summer collections and I promised you I'm done! (Aside from a bunch of Illamasqua and Nfu-Oh polishes) I've been working on my Fall collection swatches lately :)

Anyways, before I head off to work, I just want to do a quick post on Avon's Going Green for Summer collection featuring two colors: Jade and Olive Green. Check out the swatches below!

Jade - a green based mint green. A true mean green! I love how this color just "glows" It's awesome! I had slight problem with application for this one. Some reason it was a little hard to control and a bit streaky. But after a third thick coat it seem fine.

Olive Green - dusty green creme. 2 coats. This one reminds me of RBL's Orbis Non Sufficit. This color was heavily pigmented. It's a close dupe, I believe Orbis Non Sufficit is darker. One coat did the job, but out of habit I did two.

These are available to purchase on www.avon.com. Sometimes they have deals like buy 3 for $7. Right now it's on sale for $3.99. Retail price is $5.00.

This is my first time trying Avon nail polishes. I can't guarantee I'm going to buy more. Although I am deeply in love with their base coat. It's by far the best base coat I've tried. I loved it so much that I bought 6 more bottles (when it was on sale of course). What I loved about their base coat is that it's not.. "sticky". You know how some base coats get a little sticky towards the end? I'm halfway done with one bottle and no problems at all. Still goes on smooth and does the job as a base coat.

Ok well that is all I have for today. Off to work I go :(

Sephora by OPI Summer Collections

Today I have swatches from Sephora by OPI. I think they're all from their Summer collections but I can't quite recall. But anyways, here they are:

Below: Going Nude, eh? is a nude beige with subtle shimmer. This is my favorite. I love nudes now and I love how this one looks against my skin tone. The shimmer is not visible, but if you look uber close you'll see it.

Below: Havana Dreams is a baby blue creme. 3 coats. I had application trouble with this one. It kept going streaky and after a thick 3rd coat it seem ok.

Below: Midnight Mambo is a blue base with tons of glitters. It looks quite bumpy, that's because it is. I applied two coats of China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat and it seem to smooth it out a tad. It's a nice color, and surprisingly easy to remove!

Below: Read My Palm is a jade green creme. A little disappointed at this one because I was expecting a more minty green. This leans more towards the blue/aqua side. So I wasn't too excited when I saw this one.

So that is all I have for today!

Random Nubar Spam

Today I have a bunch of Nubar swatches to show you guys. It's all mostly of purple shades for some odd reason lol.

Below: Nubar Moon Shadow. First picture is taken under fluorescent lights. Second picture is direct sunlight, and third picture is natural light. It's a purple, maroon shimmer with a hint of gold duochrome. The duochrome here is quite weak, but it's still a pretty color.

Below: Pasadena Purple. Taken under fluorescent light and direct sunlight. It is a vibrant purple shimmer with a semi-metallic look to it. A few visible brush strokes are shown.

Below: Peacock Feathers. My favorite of the bunch. It's a duochrome with blue, purple, and green. I took 5 pictures of this one to try and capture the true beauty of it.

Below: Purple Rain Glitter is a dark purple with silver/gold/pink glitter. Very pretty

Below: Raspberry Truffle from their Chocolate Truffles collection. The only one I bought from that collection. It's a chocolate brown with hints of pink and gold flecks. Absolutely adore this one! The sunlight picture shows more of the flecks.

Below: Violet Sparkle from their sparkles collection. A very sexy purple glitter. This is the only one I brought from the Sparkles collection because the others didn't appeal to me much. I love how this one stood out from the rest of the collection.

Of course Nubar has perfect formula and smooth application. Majority were two coaters aside to some were three (but wasn't really necessary) I loved all of these!

BB Couture "Regular Guys" and "The Formal" Collection

Taking a break from reading for tomorrow's class. Today I have two collections from BB Couture for men. The Regular Guys and The Formal Guys. I ordered these back in April. As you can tell from my recent posts, most of my polishes were from March-May lol. Well I finally got to them. This is my first time trying BB Couture for men. Same formulas as the women ones. Super smooth application and no troubles. This is why I love BB Couture. And not to mention, the excellent customer service from Kim of Overall Beauty!

Enough with the babbling, on with the swatches!

Regular Guys

Blue Collar - a periwinkle blue with white shimmer

Golf Pro - a swampy green with silver and greenish shimmer

Mariner - deep forest green shimmer. This was good with one coat, but I did two coats because this one is tricky in application as there are brush strokes. But after a top coat the brush strokes seems to disappear.

Coal Miner - hmm.. a dark gray taupe? with blue and pink flecks. This color is very hard to describe, though very attractive.

Cowboy - taupe creme with subtle shimmer

Bullfighter - bright red. This has a semi jelly base. I love it, and it is now my favorite red!

The Formal Collection

Incognito - grey base with pink, purple, and blue shimmer. Yummy!

Dress Rehearsal - greenish gray with some silver shimmer.

Dinner Jacket - beautiful blue shimmer with a hint of purple shimmer

Award Medal - gold based shimmer with flashes of olive green or purple in certain lights. I love this one.

Tuxedo Night - reminds of dark raspberry chocolate with red and gold glitters

Ceremony - I can honestly tell you I can't describe the colors. There's a mix of brown and green in it. I had problems with application for this one, it was a little streaky. And it was very hard to capture in picture. That's why this one is a picture of it with no direct sunlight. I still like it though!

And there you go, BB Couture Regular Guys and The Formal collection all shown here. What do you guys think of these two collections? I can say There's not a single polish I didn't like from these collections. They're all gorgeous! This is why I love BB Couture. I am saving up to buy the Infamous Lovers collections!

Borghese Minis

Good afternoon all. Today I have two *new* Borghese minis to show. They were available in stores around Spring/Summer. And of course I am swatching it now -_- If you missed out on these minis it's ok because it's nothing special. But I thought they were cute and decided to get it.

Borghese Torta Dolce

Sheer gold shimmer

Sheer blue shimmer

Sheer pink shimmer

Sheer green shimmer

These are suppose to worn over colors, but I have yet to try that. Because alone it seems like boring colors.

Borghese Confetti

White pearly shimmer

Fuchsia creme

Purple shimmer

Electric blue shimmer

Overall, this was a yawn to me. Nothing exciting like I've said before. Since they are minis they were a little hard to use. I do like the electric blue shimmer though. It's very bright and vibrant.

Diamond Cosmetics Spam

Happy 1st day of fall! Being that summer is *officially* over I want to get started on my Fall collection swatches. But I have so many polishes dated back in March that has yet to be swatched. Hopefully I get everything done by end of September so I can start my Fall swatches in October!

So today I have a bunch of Diamond Cosmetics nail polishes to show. This is my first time trying this brand and I have no complaints. They're affordable and have a variety of colors, some are unique, some are you average Jane. I chose a few colors to purchase that attracted my eyes! Aside from being affordable, their formula is pretty good. Application was smooth and flawless, no streaks. Majority needed 2 coats only but some I did 3. One thing I know for sure is I'll definitely be purchasing more from this brand in the future.

Amethyst and Diamonds - a purple with frost-ish finish infused with flecks of silver glitter. 2 coats. Any February babies here? :)

Blue Diamonds - bright blue with silver glitters. 2 coats

Chainmail Charm - warm black holo. 2 coats. As if I didn't get enough of holos from my Nubar Prisms collection. I didn't! I love holos and I love this!

Cherry Tobacco - vampy cherry red shimmer. 2 coats

Don't Teal My Heart Away - teal creme. 2 coats

Hi-Ho Silver - purple silver shimmer. 2 coats. Slight duochrome

Never So Ever Green - smokey green with gold shimmer. 2 coats. Pretty unique color I must say.

Oh, Tiff! - Tiffany blue! Well from the name anyway. It's a baby blue, pretty close to Tiffany blue but not exact. 2 coats

Orange Blossom - soft orange jelly, more towards coral pink. 3 coats. I love this one, and this made me fall in love with jellys in which I'm trying to find more of!

Seafoam Spray - light seafoam green pearl. 2 coats Does not look as bright as it does in my picture. It's very pale in person, and I love the uniqueness of this color.

Serendipity - a grey-toned blue shimmer. 2 coats

Tranquility - bright baby blue creme. 2 coats
