Hello Kitty Beauty Nail Polish by Sephora

Sephora had a two day private event for VIB's to shop a sneak peek of the new Hello Kitty Beauty with a full line of cosmetics and accessories. The collection launches in mid-January. Sign up here for an e-mail notification once the collection is launched.

I have the eight nail polishes to show you today. Well, seven because one of them turns out to be a clear top coat or some sort. The nail polishes costs $10 per bottle and their size is 9ml.

First off, I only bought these simply for the bottles because it is absolutely adorable. All of these colors are not unique because I've seen them around. Purple Sprinkles might be the only unique one.

Banana Cream is a pastel yellow creme 3 coats

Blueberry is a pastel blue creme 2 coats

Minty is a pastel mint green creme. 2 coats. Could've used a third

Bubble Gum is a pastel pink creme. 2 coats

Frosted Cupcake is a sheer pink frost. 3 coats

Purple Sprinkles is a sheer purple base with tons of sparkly glitter. 2 coats

Pink Sprinkles over bubble gum, minty, blueberry, and banana cream. It is a clear base coat with holo glitter

The formula for these were pretty good. I was surprise Banana Cream wasn't streaky at all. Three coats did the job. If you don't have any pastels or if you're a true Hello Kitty fanatic like I am, I would purchase these just for the bottle.

Here's what I bought from the rest of the collection..

Nail Art Stickers

Apple Balm
Blotting Papers
Compact Mirror
Sweet Gloss in Pink Bow

Roller Ball Perfume

5 piece Brush Set

Well that's all I have for today, gotta get ready for 2011 :) Wishing you all a happy and safe new year!!

Four Color Clubs from Untamed Luxury and ORLY Royal Navy

A quick post before I head out!

I have four polishes from Color Club's Untamed Luxury collection and Orly's Royal Navy to show today.

I didn't buy the whole collection from Color Club because not much of the colors excited me except for these four.

Untamed Luxury is a bright teal green base with glitters on top. Looks very gritty because it is, it'll definitely need a top coat

Snakeskin is a dark silver base with hints of golden flakes

Red Velvet is a black base with red glitters

Covered in Diamonds over Black; it is a sheer base with confetti like holo shapes

Orly Royal Navy is a rich navy blue with subtle hints of silver flecks. It is a very gorgeous blue

Well that's all I have to show for today, gotta run!

BB Couture Vampy Varnish Collection 2009

Yes I am showing a 2009 collection that I finally get to try lol

BB Couture teamed up with Kelly from Vampy Varnish to create six gorgeous shades for the Fall last year. Although I took crappy pictures for this collection, I can assure you my pictures does no justice for this collection. The colors are gorgeous in person.

Redwood Forest a dark forest green with silver flecks

Mendocino Midnight a gray base green with silver flecks

Vampy Varnish a blackish green base with tons of green glitters

Kelly's Green

Napa Valley Red a bloody red with red flecks

Union Square a silver brown with semi-metallic finish

My favorites happens to be Kelly's Green, Redwood Forest, and Vampy Varnish. Not only because they're green but they're gorgeous unique greens. I don't think I have any polish similar to those three :)

That is all I have for today!

Illasmasqua The Art of Darkness Nail Varnish Collection 2010

Today I have Illasmaqua's The Art of Darkness Nail Varnish Collection. I had problems whether or not I should get both but I decided to when they were available at

This collection consists of two shimmer polishes.

Scarab - is a dark cherry red shimmer. 2 coats. I love how it looks black around the edges

Viridian - a teal green semi-metallic shimmer. 2 coats. This was a little disappointing

My favorite happens to be Scarab. I love it. As always Illamasqua polishes are excellent in every way. I was disappointed at Viridian because I saw swatches where it looks more green with a high shimmer. But when I applied it, it looks so dull. Oh well.

That's all I have for today!

This is my second time trying RGB brand nail polishes. The first one I tried was Minty. They came out with a new polished called Sea which is a dark green teal shimmer. I thought it was going to be a dupe of Lippmann's Don't Tell Mama, however, Sea has a green shimmer that is more noticeable than Don't Tell Mama, while Don't Tell Mama appears more black than green.

RGB Sea with flash -- you can see more of the awesome green shimmer here

This was opaque in one coat, but I did two to even it out. I love the formula and everything. Only thing I dislike is the short brush cap. It's really hard for me since I have freakishly long fingers to handle application with a short cap. Other than that I have no complaints.

RGB nail polishes can be purchased at They retail for $14 and free shipping for every order!

And that's all I have for today. Are you guys ready for Christmas? :)

NARS Vintage Nail Polish Collection

Just 3 days left until Christmas! Eep! So excited :) I have a few posts set up ready to be posted for the rest of this month. I just have to write a review and that's it. I'm so close with emptying my never tried stash. By January I should be finish with everything hopefully. At least now I am up to date (somewhat) with the newer collections.

Today I have four of the NARS Vintage Collection. I did not buy metal jacket because.. actually I don't even know why I didn't buy it. Probably because it didn't amuse me. Although people are raving about it, maybe I'll try it on at a Sephora store and see if I'll like it or something.

So the most infamous polish NARS Zulu is finally re-released and fulfilled us nail fanatics dream (not quite all of it, but at least its a start) I've been dying for NARS Zulu so I am glad they re-released it, although in comparison to the old one, it's not as jelly or whatsoever. That didn't really bother me. Here's the swatches:

Zulu - blackened green jelly. 3 coats

Midnight Express - dark rich navy blue jelly. 3 coats

Mash - a deep olive shimmer. 2 coats. I was excited about this one too :)

King Kong - a medium brown bronze shimmer. 2 coats. I thought King Kong was dark brown? Donkey Kong is this shade.. lol

So I loved all four of these. Can't pick favorites because that's a toughie. I love the jellies the most because I have an obsession for jelly polishes. Formula was super good. I had no problems. A lot of people complain about some streaks or visible brush strokes for King Kong but I didn't have any problem with that.

Great job NARS!

That's all I have for today!

CND Night Factory Fall/Winter 2010

Happy weekend! Today I have the CND Night Factory for Fall/Winter 2001. This look consists of CND Colour Urban Oasis and the Effect Teal Sparkle. This is my first time ever trying CND brand (Creative) I have never tried their line of polishes for some odd reason. But I am very impressed with them. I am definitely going to be ordering more effects in the future.

Urban Oasis is a dark teal creme. It was fully opaque in one coat, but I did two out of habit.

Teal Sparkle over Urban Oasis gives the color a big boost. It has this golden teal sparkle which makes it look absolutely stunning and gorgeous. I was told that it reminded them of mermaid sequins. It looks really stunning in person. I received quite a lot of compliments for this.

Here is the only sun picture I'll ever get during Winter. This was taken at 7 am when the sun was rising, hence all the yellowey ish.

I did this manicure on Friday, and I still have it on today. There's only slight tip wear but other than that there are no chips. Pretty impressive!

I have one more final tomorrow, and I will finally be done with college. I am very excited :)

Well that's all I have for today!

NARS Holiday 2010 Nail Polishes

NARS came out with two new polishes for their Holiday 2010 collection. Two colors that are totally different from each other, and nothing really to do with the holidays (typical red and green) Take a look!

Bad Influence is a brown taupe creme. 2 coats

Poker Face is a lilac creme with very subtle silver shimmer. 2 coats

While there's nothing quite unique with these two colors, I love NARS formula for their polishes. They never really caused any problems for me. Pictures were taken under artificial light. Both were streak free and applied wonderfully! They're available at and/or for $16 each.

Speaking of, did any of you VIB's see the Hello Kitty Beauty collection? It's to die for, especially the nail polishes featured Hello Kitty's head as the bottle. I bought all eight and I can't wait to get them. Sephora really captured us Hello Kitty fans!

Well that's all I have for today!

Four Orly's from 'tis the Season Holiday Collection

More holiday collections to show today! I have the Orly's 'tis the Season Holiday collection but only four of the six. I didn't get Candy Cane Lane nor Naughty & Nice since they didn't seem at all unique to me. If they were in their old prices I would've probably bought them. But $6 for a red creme, no thank you.

So anyways, the other four colors are nice. I like Orly polishes because I love their formula.

Rockin' Rocket is a bronzey/copper shimmer with gold shimmer

Glitz & Glamour is a yellow gold foil

Winter Wonderland is a semi sheer pearlish white silver shimmer. Would probably look great over other colors rather than alone

Meet Me Under the Mistletoe is a dark forest green shimmer white silver/white flecks. This one has a blue base.

Overall, this collection is ok to me. My favorite is Meet Me Under the Mistletoe and Rockin' Rocket. The formula is excellent of course. All were two coats except for Winter Wonderland which was 3 coats.

Well that's all I have for today. I believe this is my last holiday collection to show.

China Glaze 'Tis the Season to be Naughty & Nice

Hello all. Today I have China Glaze's 'Tis the Season to be Naughty & Nice collection which is their holiday/winter collection. This whole collection which consists of 16 colors is truly a holiday collection filled with Christmas-y colors. I liked every single color in this collection, there wasn't a single one I didn't like :)

All pictures were taken under artificial light

Sugar Plums is a dark rosey mauve shimmer with multicolor glitters

Mommy Kissing Santa Clause is a slight dark red shimmer

Little Drummer Boy is a navy shimmer

Jolly Holly is a green shimmer

Peace on Earth is an olive green shimmer

Cheers to You is a metallic silver foil

Midnight Kiss is a gold foil

Frosty is a soft white shimmer with silver flecks

Jingle Bells is a metallic gold

Phat Santa is a red creme with semi jelly finish

Naughty & Nice is a dark reddish brown creme

Ruby Deer is a bright red creme, also with a semi jelly finish

Mistletoe Kisses is a green shimmer with silver flecks

Mrs. Clause is a jelly red base with red and silver fleck glitters

Party Hearty is a clear base with silver, gold, green glitters and big red glitters

Snow is a white creme with a super glossy finish. Under two coats, no streaks

Party Hearty over Snow. Gorgeous, this might be my Xmas mani :)

The application for these were nice. I had no problems with any of them. All were either under two or three coats. The foils/metallics were not streaky at all. They applied perfectly. But Snow happens to be my favorite go to white creme now. It's super glossy and not streaky at all. Took only two coats to be fully opaque and smooth looking. In my picture, there was no top coat.

Well that's all I have for today!
