Sephora by OPI Urban Ballerina Collection

Today I have Sephora by OPI's newest collection called Urban Ballerina. I was a little indecisive on whether to buy the whole collection or not, but since I'm loving all these spring collections, I thought this one wouldn't disappoint. Take a look at the swatches.

Break a Leg-Warmer is a charcoal gray creme. Very opaque under one coat, but this was under two coats

Who's Spinning Tonight? is a purple creme with subtle shimmers. 2 coats

Shiny Dancer is a dark charcoal gray shimmer with a semi metallic finish. 2 coats

Let's Plié is a light beige creme with subtle silver shimmers. 3 coats. It was streaky with the first coat but after the 2nd coat it evened out

Leotard-Optional is a mocha beige creme. Which really reminds me of a mocha drink. 3 coats

The Way Tutu His Heart is a very light pink almost white out pink. 3 coats. Also streaky with 1st coat but started to even out. I like how this one looks white with a hint of pink on it.

Overall, I liked the whole collection. Not all the colors are unique, but majority of them are. Leotard-Optional might have a few similar polishes and Shiny Dancer as well. But I can't think of any like or dupes for the other ones. The formula for these were great. They're available at for $9 each. Prices are a bit high in my opinion, but you get what you paid. These are better formula than most $23 bottle nail polishes =X

Well that's all I have for today!

MAC Wonder Woman Nail Lacquers

When I saw the pictures of MAC's Wonder Woman collection, I said to myself, "I gotta have everything!" I did indeed buy everything, but I also returned a whole lot too, I only kept the nail polishes and one lipstick (which I forgot the name already)

I basically bought the polishes just for the packaging. I love the box and the designs on the bottle are cute.

Obey Me is a true red creme. It was pretty opaque in 1 coat, but I did two for even coverage. I used this red as my Valentine's Day mani.

Spirit of Truth is a navy blue creme, also opaque in 1 coat, but did 2 for even coverage.

As you can see these colors are not at all unique, once again I bought them for the packaging lol I must say though, the formula is pretty good, no streaks at all. It seems like MAC polish formula is getting better now. I remember it use to be very thick and gets extremely streaky.

Well that's all I have for today!

Today will be the last day to enter for my Apothica $25 gift card giveaway, no entries will be accepted after 11:59pm. Click here to enter now!

Deborah Lippmann for Spring 2011

When I saw the press release for Deborah Lippmann's spring collection, I knew I gotta get them in my hands. Deborah Lippmann came out with two new colors for the spring.

Take a look:

Glitter in the Air is a sheer pale blue jelly like base with sky blue and pink hexagon glitters. How stunning is this one?! I'm in love with it. It's very sheer, this was under five coats and there's still visible nail lines. I still like the way it looks though. It gives off this ghostly like feel to it. This would probably look nice under a sky blue creme, guess I will try that next time.

Naked is a nude creme with a semi-jelly base. I have a lot of nude polishes but I think this one might be my favorite. It matches my skin tone very well. This was under three coats.

The formula for both of these are pretty good. I didn't have any problems with it. It dried pretty fast too. For Glitter in the Air, with 5 coats, it dried under a decent amount of time.

Glitter in the Air retails for $18 and Naked is $16. I got them both from

I absolutely love Glitter in the Air, couldn't stop staring at my nails while wearing them :)

Well that's all I have for today!

OPI Serena Glam Slam Set

Today I have OPI Serena Glam Slam Set to show. The set consists of Simple Smash-ing and Black Shatter. I love the combination of the colors. Simply Smash-ing looks amazing under Black Shatter. Take a look.

Simply Smash-ing is a golden yellow green shimmer. This was under three coats.

Black Shatter over Simply Smash-ing. Don't the colors look amazing together?

I decided to try a matte top coat over them both to see how it turns out. It looks quite interesting I suppose.. lol

That is all I have for today!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I hope your day is filled with love and happiness! :)

I did a quick Valentine's Day mani. And I loved the way it turned out!

I used MAC Obey Me from the Wonder Woman collection (I will be doing a review on it soon)

And I finally remembered which Konad plate I used; M78

I used a silver glitter to fill in the hearts and cover the dots, just to make it a little more flashy.

Well that's all I have for today!

Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Rob Marshall, “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” captures the fun, adventure and humor that ignited the hit franchise—this time in Disney Digital 3D™. Johnny Depp returns to his iconic role of Captain Jack Sparrow in an action-packed adventure. Crossing paths with the enigmatic Angelica (Penelope Cruz), he’s not sure if it’s love—or if she’s a ruthless con artist who’s using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. When she forces him aboard the “Queen Anne’s Revenge,” the ship of the legendary pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane), Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn’t know whom to fear more: Blackbeard or Angelica, with whom he shares a mysterious past. The international cast includes franchise vets Geoffrey Rush as the vengeful Captain Hector Barbossa and Kevin R. McNally as Captain Jack’s longtime comrade Joshamee Gibbs, plus Sam Claflin as a stalwart missionary and Astrid Berges-Frisbey as a mysterious mermaid.

The screenplay for “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” was written by Ted Elliott & Terry Rossio, suggested by the novel by Tim Powers. The film opens in theaters on May 20, 2011, in Disney Digital 3D™.

OPI Katy Perry Collection

Today, I finally have OPI Katy Perry Collection to share. This collection is out of stock every where so I decided to just order it at There was something about this collection that I was dying to have.

This collection consists of four colors, two shimmers and two glitters. And also with a black shatter polish. The promo says the black shatter suppose to shatter into leopard like prints but I've yet to experience that. But I still like the way it shatters.

On with the swatches:

The One that Got Away is a deep berry shimmer. There's probably many similar shades of this color but I love it! Shimmers does weird things to my camera. I can never focus it to get a clear picture -_-

Black Shatter over The One That Got Away

Teenage Dream is a sheerish pink glitter with bigger holo glitters. Very pretty and I love it. This was three coats.

Black Shatter over Teenage Dream

Not Like the Movies is a silver purple with slight green duochrome. It also has little flecks of black but you can barely see it.

Black Shatter over Not Like the Movies

Last Friday Night is a sheer blue glitter. This was under three coats and I kinda like the look of this. The blue glitter shows up a lot.

Black Shatter over Last Friday Night

The formula on these were pretty good. The glitters were thick but I kinda expected that since they're on a semi jelly base. I still didn't have any problems though. I think Black Shatter is a great product that I would probably stock up on (nothing crazy, just probably two extra). It is extremely fun to play with and it never shatters the same each time I use it.

I can't choose a favorite because I loved all four of them. Not Like the Movies is a gorgeous color. The glitters are so cute that I could wear alone.

Does anyone else love this collection as much as I did?

That's all I have for today. Don't forget to enter for my Apothica $25 gift card giveaway, which ends next week Feb. 21st.

Three Zoya Swatches

A few weeks ago Zoya had a promo to get three free nail polishes and you only have to pay for their shipping. This promo was for Zoya reaching 20,000 fans on facebook. Even though I have a lot of Zoya polishes I still took advantage of this. I mean it was free! My three choices were all sheer jelly-like polishes; Miley, Lulu, and Jane.

As some of you may know, I love jelly base polishes. I love the way it looks on nails.

Miley is a sheer lavender jelly like creme. This took 4 coats to reach bottle color, but that's expected for most jellies

Lulu is a sheer light peach jelly base. This one also took four coats to reach bottle color.

Jane is a sheer nude, very slim jelly-like base. This was three coats. I bought this for french mani's

I love Zoya polishes and they never give me problems, I was pretty satisfied with all three that I picked :)

Did you take advantage of the three free polishes? What were your three choices?

Happy Lunar New Year!

Happy Lunar New Year to those who celebrate it! I did a quick mani to celebrate Chinese New Year :)

Base is China Glaze's Phat Santa with China Glaze Medallion over it. I used China Glaze's Midnight Kiss to do the Chinese character. The Chinese character is "Luck". Typical Chinese tradition colors are red and gold; red for luck, and gold for money (I could be wrong)

Well that's all I have for today!
