OPI Nice Stems Summer 2011 Swatches and Review

Wow, today is the last day of June. Where did June go?

Today I have OPI's Nice Stems Collection for Summer 2011 to share with you guys. This collection consists of four gorgeous pinks in a variety of finishes.

I Lily Love You is a sheer jelly pink with holographic glitters and flakes. This was three coats.

Play the Peonies is a soft shimmery pale pink with iridescent finish. 2 coats. It has sort of a pearly finish. A very interesting color and finish actually. It was a little bit streaky but after the 2nd coat everything evened out.

I Lily Love You over Play the Peonies. I love how the color just changes because of I Lily Love You.

Come to Poppy is a vibrant coral pink shimmer. 2 coats. It was actually opaque in one coat. But you know me ^_^

I Lily Love You over Come to Poppy. Here you can see some of the flake glitters they have.

Be A Dahlia Won't You? is a bright fuchsia shimmer with plenty of gold specks. 2 coats.

I Lily Love You over Be A Dahlia Won't You?

Overall, this collection is very cute and very girly. I loved all the pinks and they are actually wearable for me. They're great for summer. I love how I Lily Love You adds sparkle to the others. As you all know, I love all things glitter. The formula for these are excellent. They were fully opaque and only needed two coats for full coverage. My favorite happens to be Play the Peonies because it's such an interesting color and interesting finish. Don't have any similar polishes like that. Which ones do you like?

Well that's all I have for today!

Essie French Affair for Spring 2011

Yes I know it's Summer and I'm still doing reviews on Spring collections. It's been a super busy week for me. Work is tiring and stressful as usual. Still daydreaming about the day I will quit that shit hole. But anyways, today I have Essie's French Affair for Spring 2011 collection to show you. Before I show the swatches, I want to say I loved this whole collection. All the colors matches Spring really well (but always wearable in Summer =P)

Sand Tropez is a dark beige nude creme. 2 coats

Coat Azure is a soft dusty blue with subtle silver shimmer. 2 coats. This one looked amazing.

Nice is Nice is a pastel lavender creme. 2 coats. I think this is the best lavender creme ever. First, it wasn't streaky and had full coverage under 2 coats. And second is a unique lavender creme. Not the plain boring ones but the color in this one is very vivid.

French Affair is a pink creme with a bit of lavender in it. 2 coats. I also loved this pink because it's different from other pink cremes.

Topless & Barefoot is a light beige nude creme. 3 coats. This was the only one I had problem with. For some reason it was a bit thick. Maybe it's just my bottle. 2 coats was good for coverage, but it was uneven so I had to add another coat just to even it out. I still like the color though!

Kisses & Bises is a sheer ivory pearl with flashes of pink. 4 coats. I think this was meant for more of a top coat over other colors. However, I was lazy to do it over any of them =x I'm sure it will look amazing over other colors.

The formula for these were pretty good. They were fully opaque and needed only 2 coats. I've always loved Essie products, but hate having to spend $8 each for them. I want to say they're worth it but I don't know. I've been a fan of Essie polishes since I was little. Essie was one of the first nail polish brand I bought and own. I wish I remember the name of it but I can't haha

Well that's all I have for today!

OPI Serena Williams Glam Slam! England Collection

Serena Williams came out with another collection with OPI called the England collection. This collection consists of two nail polishes; Grape..Set..Match, and Your Royal Shine-Ness, and one sparkly glitter top coat called Servin' Up Sparkle .

Grape...Set...Match is a purple shimmer with flashes of blue specks. 3 coats. Think a cousin of OPI's INK, except more purple!

Grape..Set..Match in natural light. This picture shows more of the purple.

Servin' Up Sparkle over Grape..Set..Match. Servin' Up Sparkle is a holo glitter top coat with big pieces of glitter

A blurred picture to show the holo glitters. LOVE!

Your Royal Shine-Ness is a metallic silver foil. 2 coats. The perfect metallic silver.

Servin' Up Sparkle over Your Royal Shine-Ness. I love how the holo glitters are kind of hidden with the silver, but in certain lightings you can see the sparkle of the holos.

And a blurred picture to see the holos.

So I absolutely loved this collection. The combos looked amazing on both Grape..Set..Match and Your Royal Shine-Ness. My favorite happens to be Servin' Up Sparkle over Your Royal Shine-ness. Like I mentioned I love how the holo glitter just pops up in lights.

The formula for these are excellent. They all applied perfectly with no streaks and no fuss. Your Royal Shine-Ness is the best metallic silver I've ever tried on. It applied on so smoothly and it looks perfect on the nails. No ridge-filling base coat needed.

Which are your favorites?

Loreal Yellow Seahorse

Today I have Loreal's Yellow Seahorse to share. I believe this is from their summer collection. I was browsing around Walgreens the other day and saw this polish sitting alone in the detergent section and decided to grab it and try it. Yellow polishes seems to be pretty popular this summer.

Yellow Seahorse is a yellow base with hints of gold and pink shimmer. 3 coats. It was a little sheer.

I wasn't really happy about the formula, I felt it was a little too thick to apply, especially since it needed three coats. It took quite awhile for it to dry since it was so thick, hence I smudged my ring finger a little. I didn't really like the yellow for this one. It's a bit too golden. It didn't really suit my skin tone as well. I did however like the subtle gold and pink shimmers on it. I don't know if these are still around in other drug stores but this was the only one I found. I even forgot the price for it -_-

Well this is all I have for today!

MAC Surf, Baby! Nail Lacquers 2011

Today I have the MAC Surf, Baby! Nail lacquers to share with you guys. I first purchase these only for the bottles because the colors didn't really wow me. But I instantly changed my mind once I applied these two on. I didn't purchase anything else from their collection. Nothing really interests me. And I usually splurge on MAC releases. It's ok, good time to save money!

Hangin' Loose is a nude beige creme with subtle hints of silver shimmer. 3 coats. I actually love this one. It's a perfect nude with hints of shimmer that matches my skin tone. It kind of reminds me of the sand!

Ocean Dip is a green teal creme. 2 coats. This one is a little plain and boring. I wish it had some golden shimmers in it or something to make it even better.

The formula for these two were excellent. I had no problems with it. I expected it to be streaky and thick like previous MAC polishes, but like I have mentioned on my last MAC review, their polish formula have improved over the years. I also don't like the price increase either. These retail for $15 per bottle. Which is a bit expensive for nail polishes. But what can you do when you're obsessed with nail polishes? Nothing, but splurge lol =x

Well this is all I have for today!

Chanel Mimosa and Morning Rose for Summer 2011

Today I have Chanel's Mimosa and Morning Rose to share with you guys. These two were from the Summer 2011 collection. Please ignore my bad shaped pointer finger. Those who remember, I broke my pointer finger nail real bad, and it finally grew a little to a point where I can swatch again.

Mimosa is a bright yellow creme with subtle shimmer. This was done in 3 coats.

Morning Rose is a girly pink with subtle golden shimmers. 3 coats.

I do not know why but every time I look at these two it reminds me of Spongebob and Patrick haha. But anyways the formula for these were actually pretty good. Is Chanel finally improving? Nevertheless, the price for these polishes were a wallet drainer. They retail for $23. They are still available for purchase at

I do love both of these polishes though. Mimosa is a gorgeous yellow that doesn't make my skintone look yellowy? If that even makes sense. And Morning Rose is a pretty pink. Some might think it's not all that special. It's not, but I love the subtle hints of golden shimmer.

Well this is all I have to share for today! Try and enjoy your Monday :)

Sephora by OPI Safari Luxe Collection 2011

So I promised a new post today, so a new post you will get! I took off work today.. (will rant about work later) But it's almost 100 degrees here in New York and I'm totally hitting up the beach after this!

So today I have Sephora by OPI Safari Luxe collection to share with you guys. I bought the mini set just as an attempt to save some money, and the other two that was not included in the mini set. Take a look!

A Color that Can't Be Tamed is a semi-metallic green with very dim specks of holo glitter. 3 coats. You can BARELY see the holo glitters unless you look really closely in person.

Wild About Shimmer is a sheer champagne with flecks of gold glitter. 4 coats. This color is absolutely gorgeous. Even though it was sheer, it looked nice after four coats. Still visible nail line but that's OK with me.

The following four is included in the mini set.

I Don't Bite is a dark royal purple with very tiny flecks of holo glitter. 3 coats. Again you don't see the holo glitters unless you put your eye all up in the nail. My picture made it appear more blue than purple. Camera's are tricky.

Yes, Your Lioness is a coral orange shimmer. 3 coats. This one surprised me! I thought it was going to a be a boring bright retina burning orange, but it's not. It leans toward a softer shade of orange with tiny specks. Perfect for summer.

Caught With My Khakis Down is a greyish murky green creme. 2 coats. I think this would be my favorite one! It is unique. And I love murky greens!

Don't Feed the Hand Models is a pink beige creme. 3 coats. In my picture it appears to be just a plain nude beige, but it's not, there's some pink hues in it which makes it kinda cute?

The formula for these were decent. They're a bit sheer which did require 3 coats for full coverage, except for Caught with my Khaki's Down. The formula was perfect in every way. I have no complaints. Colors were good, I just wish the ones with the holo glitter would actually show up on the nails and be visible to the naked eye.

These are available at Sephora stores and Regular sized bottles retail for $9.50 and the mini set retails for $18.

That is all I have for today, time to beach it up!

ManGlaze Royal Matterimoaning

Hey all! Today I have another new polish to show you from ManGlaze. It is called Royal Matterimoaning. How do you even pronounce that? When I read it I always say "matter i moaning" which doesn't really make sense but whatever the color is freaking awesome. It is a royal blue shimmer matte.

Look at that beauty packed with shimmers. It was fully opaque and smooth in one coat, but I ended up doing two because I messed up on my pinky finger. I never have trouble with ManGlaze matte polishes, they always apply so flawless for me. I have tried plenty of matte polishes and nothing really compares to ManGlaze. Sure they are a little bit pricey, but it is definitely worth it in my opinion. Some people spend more than $20 on certain types of polishes (including myself) that applies so sloppy with so many annoying perks.

But anyways! That is all I have for today~

ManGlaze Fuck Off & Dye

So those that are following me on twitter knows that I broke my left pointer nail pretty bad, so I haven't swatched at all. For the next three posts, it will be on swatches and review that was meant to be posted but never got to it.

Today I have for you ManGlaze's new matte color called Fuck Off & Dye. Now I know a few people might find this nail polish name offensive, but I'm 24 and could really give a damn, because the F word is used by almost everyone, but fear not because they made another name for it called Blue!.

Anyways, Fuck Off & Dye is a gorgeous hot pink shimmer matte. I did two thin coats and surprisingly one coat was opaque enough for full coverage, I did two for a smooth finish. Have a look!

Isn't this gorgeous or WHAT?! It's by far the best pink matte ever, simply because the application was flawless. I didn't have any issues with the bumpiness or unevenness that I deal with for mattes. That was quite shocking for me, but I am satisfied. It was definitely worth every penny in my wallet.

ManGlaze can be purchased on their website at

Well that's all I have to share for today!
