Deborah Lippmann Stairway to Heaven

Hello! Can you believe that June is almost over? Time is going by so fast!

Anyways, today I have Deborah Lippmanns Stairway to Heaven glitter to share with you guys. Stairway to Heaven is a cloudy sheer base with multicolored iridescent square and round glitters. It's more square than round glitters.

Here is Stairway to Heaven over white. I love how the glitters appear like a multicolor pastels over the white! It looks very innocent and pretty. I'm curious to try it over other colors now!

The formula for this one is a bit thick and hard to work with. I did two coats of it over two coats of white. I've seen swatches of it being worn alone and it still looks great! This was purchased at for $18 a bottle. Worth the money? Eh, not really as there are similar glitter top coats like this one out there for a fraction of the price.

Well this is all I have for today, what do you guys think?

Three Swatches from China Glaze Electropop Collection

Good day everybody. Today I have three polishes from the China Glaze Electropop Collection to share with you guys. I didn't purchase the whole collection, as I wasn't too fond with the other colors. I'm really doing pretty good on not spending too much on nail polishes, and putting money away. It's hard, but I'm working on it!

Gaga for Green is a gorgeous kelly green creme. 2 coats

Kinetic Energy is a pale baby blue creme. 2 coats

Electric Beat is a soft light blue creme. 2 coats

The formula for these were pretty good. It applied well and not streaky at all. I love the creamy texture and the super shininess. I'm actually interested in trying Aquadelic, maybe I'll order that in the future :)

I bought these from Sally Beauty for $4.99 a bottle. Not sure if they still have these available there, but they're still available at e-tailers out there.

Essie No More Film

Hey everyone! Hope everyone is having a great Sunday! Today I have Essie's No More Film from the Resort 2012 collection. It was the only color that attracted my eyes from that collection. Oh yea, also please ignore the messy application. I actually got this done at the salon. I was too lazy to shape my nails, so I decided to go to the salon. And no offense, the one I usually go to for pedicures, did a terrible job for manicures. I tried my best to edit and fix the smudges outside of my cuticle so it didn't look too horrid.

No More Film is a dark purple/blue creme. It looks more purple in my picture. This was 2 coats, but you could've gone away with just one coat.

I can't really discuss the formula for this one because I didn't apply this polish on myself, but from observations, it seem like it went on pretty smooth with no problems. Hence I didn't understand why the manicurist did such a bad job, but it's ok! Again, I did edit this picture so it doesn't look too bad. I'm not trying to be mean about the manicurist, but it's true lol

I really liked the color, and it's quite an interesting color for a spring/summer collection don't you think? I rather see interesting colors than typical pastels, neons, etc. for summer. But that's just me!

Well this is all I have for today, what do you guys think of this blurple?

Butter London The Black Knight and Tart with a Heart

Happy Friday! Today I have Butter London polishes to share with you guys. The Black Knight and Tart with a Heart was a duo set for the Holidays of 2011 (yea I'm late I know lol) This is my second time trying Butter London polishes, and I'm still happy with the brand.

The Black Knight is a black base with multicolored glitters. The major colors visible are pink, aqua, and gold. This was 2 coats.

Tart with a Heart is a clear base with gold glitters and some holographic glitters. 3 coats.

Tart with a Heart over The Black Knight is a beautiful combo! Both of them are great alone, but together is just perfect. So sparkly and so pretty!

The formula was a wee-bit rough for me. The Black Knight was a bit gooey, but I think that was because of all the glitters. Same goes with Tart with a Heart, but it wasn't too hard to work with. A little shake after each coat helped a little bit.

I really liked the colors for these two. I found these at Macy's for $14 a bottle. A bit on the pricey side but it's ok.

What do you guys think of these two?

Nails Inc. Baker Street

Hey everyone! Today is going to be a short post. I have Nails Inc. Baker Street to share with you guys. I really love vibrant blue colors, especially on nails. When I saw Baker Street at Sephora, I had to get it.

Baker Street is a vibrant royal blue creme. This took two coats.

This blue really stands out, and it's very bright as well.

This picture is without flash and it seems a bit more darker, but it's as close as I can get to show the true color of this polish.

This is my second time trying on nails inc. brand polishes and I am not disappointed. I am looking forward to trying more colors from them. The formula for this one was pretty good. It applied pretty well and  had no troubles with it.

Great color and great formula, what more can I ask for? (cough holo cough)

What do you think of Baker Street?

Happy Father's Day

Today's post is not nail polish related, so I hope you guys don't mind. Today is Father's day, and first I would like wish all the father's out there a wonderful Father's day, and may this day be filled with joy and love for all of you.

I want to dedicate this post to my loving father, who's no longer with us here. My father was my hero and my best friend. He's been through it all, and if it wasn't for him, my mother, my brother, and I won't be where we are today. He made our lives much easier. When we first moved to America, we had nothing. We lived in a one bedroom basement, small  enough to only fit two people, but we managed. My father worked two jobs, day and night, to support us. We made it through every day as a loving family, happy as ever that we are together.

Eleven years later, he finally became successful and owned his own business, which helped us moved into a bigger home. And not to mention he finally bought me a dog I've always wanted. My father was never selfish, he always put others first before him. He never really spent money on himself, besides a few cars. He always spent money on us, always making sure we are happy. But you know, money doesn't always solve everything.

It's been almost three years since he left us, and every day is always empty without his presence, his smile, and his energy. I miss him dearly, and really wish I can see him again. There's nothing else I want more. Happy Father's Day Daddy. Loving and missing you always.

OPI The Amazing Spiderman Collection Swatches and Review

Good morning everyone! Today I have a collection that I was anticipating to share with you guys (though you may have seen review and swatches every where already). Today's post is a review on OPI's The Amazing Spiderman Collection for Spring 2012. I can NOT wait for this movie to come out! Huge spidey lover lol

Anyways, this collection consists of six colors and a green shatter. So when I heard a green shatter was coming out, you can imagine how excited I was. On with the swatches.

Just Spotted the Lizard is yellow and green duochrome with hints of blue in certain lighting. Very similar to Chanel's Peridot. Even though we've seen this color around now, it's still very pretty to look at. 2 coats.

My Boyfriend Scales Walls is a pure white creme. 2 coats. Yes a white creme that is fully opaque in 2 coats and is not streaky at all! LOVE!

Your Web or Mine? is a rosey pink with a pearly finish. 2 coats. Very elegant and sophisticated looking pink.

Call Me Gwen-ever is an orangey coral creme. 2 coats. This looks a lot brighter in person.

Into the Night is a midnight blue shimmer that really glows in person. 2 coats. It has such a vibrant hue.

Number One Nemesis is a mixture of gray and golden shimmers. 2 coats. Very interesting color!

And of course, the green shatter, which is called Shatter the Scales. I put it over every color in this collection. Shatter the Scales is a forest green shimmer shatter.

The formula for this collection is excellent. Very interesting choices of colors. Even though we've seen colors like Just Spotted the Lizard, I still really liked that color. It's a cheaper alternative to Chanel's Peridot. I haven't done a comparison myself between the two, but from other comparisons I've seen, they are pretty similar. I also really liked that My Boyfriend Scales the Walls is a fully opaqued white creme and it is not streaky at all. I love applying polishes without hassle!

Overall, I am pretty satisfied with this collection. There wasn't a single polish I didn't like. And the green shatter is just pure prettiness. What are your views on the Amazing Spiderman Collection?

Well this is all I have for today. I will be away for the weekend, so I hope everyone enjoy a lovely weekend!

Zoya Beach & Surf Collection

Hi everyone! I  have a long awaited post today. Today's review is on Zoya's Beach & Surf Collection for summer 2012. The reason I took so long for this post was because two polishes got destroyed during transit so I had to order the other two. But as always it's better late than never right?

Zoya Beach Collection consists of 6 gorgeous summer colors, 5 of which are cremes, and 1 with a slight shimmer.

Reagan is a dark fuchsia creme which leans toward to a little on the purple side. 2 coats

Lara is light fuchsia creme. 2 coats

Shelby is a bright bubble gum pink creme. Very girly and barbie pink like. 2 coats

Arizona is a light orange creme. Not light enough to be categorized as pastel, but this is a pretty bright orange. 2 coats

Tracie is a light green with a semi pearly finish. This is the only one that is not a creme polish. 2 coats

Wednesday is a turquoise creme. It is a lot more greener in person. 2 coats

Overall, the Beach collection is one of my favorite collections so far for the Summer 2012. All the colors matches Summer perfectly and they matched my skin tone. The formula were pretty good, it wasn't thick or thin and I had no problems with application.

Zoya Surf Collection consists of 6 bright colors with a foil/metallic finish.

Rory is a light pink with lots of silver flecks giving it a shimmery finish. 2 coats

Carly is a reddish plum with metallic finish. This color seems to be 'glowing' if you understand what I'm talking about! 2 coats

Kimber is a reddish pink with golden flecks. This one is super bright and super gorgeous. I think this might be my favorite one of the collection. 2 coats

Myrta is a bright orange with silver flecks giving it a metallic finish look. 2 coats

Meg is a super light midori green with silver flecks. This one is super bright and also glows. 2 coats

Zuza is a teal blue with silver flecks. My picture makes this color look so dull, but in person it's so bright and gorgeous. 2 coats.

Overall, the Surf collection is STUNNING. I love the whole foil/metallic like finish which makes the polishes stand out on your nails. The formula for these were perfect. I would've thought there will be streak marks being they're a little metallic ish, but there was none. It applied so perfectly with no problems at all.

Zoya did an excellent job with the Beach & Surf collection. There is not a single color I did not like or enjoy. But I got the most compliments with the Surf collection!

Well that's all I have for today, what do you guys think of these two collections for summer?

(These were sent to me for review, except Tracie and Meg, which were purchase by myself)
