Nails Inc. Special Effects Sprinkles Collection

Happy Friday! Today I have Nails Inc. Special Effects Sprinkles Collection to share with you guys. This collection consists of four glittery polishes that are extremely cute and colorful. All pictures were taken with flash. Decided to give my DSLR a try to see how swatches will look under it. And it looks pretty good. What do you guys think?

Sugar House Lane is a taupe beige base with black and white glitters. 2 coats. this reminds me of salt and pepper!

Pudding Lane is an aqua blue base with navy, yellow, purple, and green glitters. 2 coats. Look at how amazing the colors are on this one!

 Sweets Way is a pale blue base with aqua and ink glitters. 2 coats. This one matches its name. It looks so sweet and innocent.

Topping Lane is a pink base with white, purple, and pink glitters. 2 coats. This one looks really yummy to me.

I am totally loving this collection. Every color is so cute and the glitters really stand out. I thought Topping Lane was going to be a dupe of Deborah Lippmann's Candy Shop but it's not. These are all totally unique on its own. Sweets Way is a little similar to Lippmann's Glitter in the Air, but these are all just round glitters, and it's very opaque. It was actually opaque in one coat, but I did two to smooth things out. One coat of Seche Vite smoothed everything. It didn't have any bumpy or grainy texture. It applied nicely with no issues. The only con about this is that it was a pain to remove. I even did the foil method but that still took some extra scrubbing to get off. I think it was worth the time to remove though, because these are simply gorgeous.

Sephora by OPI's Sparkling Personality

Today I have Sephora by OPI's Sparkling Personality to share with you guys. This polish is from their Betsey Johnson collection. It was the only polish I purchased from the collection as the other colors didn't really appeal to me.

Sparkling Personality is a silver glitter mixed with  multi-colored glitters. 3 coats. As you can see this polish is quite sheer. Even after three coats, there is still visible nail line. The multi-colored glitters are hard to be seen because the silver glitters outshines them. The colored glitters are very minimum.

The formula was nice, I just wished it was more opaque. Will probably use this for nail art or over polishes or something. This is actually on sale at Sephora right now for $5.

Julep August Mystery Box

I totally forgot I ordered the Julep's August Mystery Box. I don't know why but I get really excited ordering mystery boxes because you don't know what you're getting. But I also get worried that I will get polishes I don't like. But I chose the IT Girl Mystery Box and it came with four polishes and a base coat. I probably have like 6 of their base coats already lol

Rachel is a shimmery copper. 2 coats. This is a gorgeous copper. I really love the shimmer to this.

Sandra is a bright fuchsia shimmer purplish flashes. 2 coats. Really bright and fun.

Megan is a gorgeous aquamarine shimmer. 2 coats. This one stood out in the box. I love the gorgeous shimmer and the blue is just amazing. 

Jessica is a pale baby blue creme. 2 coats. This is the perfect pale baby blue creme.

I liked 3 of the 4 colors. I wasn't that fond of Sandra. I have a lot of bright fuchsia shimmers in similar tones. But Megan is amazing, and Jessica is perfect. This mystery box costs me $19.99 which isn't too bad, considering that each polish already costs $14 a bottle.

The formula were pretty good. They all applied evenly and smoothly with no problems.

Nails Inc Magnetic Polish Spitafields

Today I have a magnetic polish from Nails Inc. to share with you guys. Magnetic polishes have been a big trend this season, and a lot of nail companies are making them. You can see them everywhere now. When I saw the fish net magnetic on Sephora I thought I must need it. But I was quite disappointed when I received this polish. And you will find out why.

Spitafields is a nice kelly green shimmer. 2 coats

The magnetic for this weren't as strong as the others Ive tried. The design on the nails did not look much like fish nets shown on the bottle. Maybe if the magnet was stronger, it will look better.  Pretty much this was a waste of money for me. But I'm willing to try it again in the future, and hopefully get better results.

Lynnderella Spam

I have ordered Lynnderella polishes from Llarowe awhile back and never posted my swatches. I have debated whether or not to post it. But I decided to in the end. I came to realization that I have spent a lot of money on these  polishes, and to be honest, they weren't all that great. Just a lot of hype over glitter polishes. And of course, this is my opinion, so please don't bash me on it.

Nail Art: Julep French with a Twist

When I purchased the July's Julep Maven box, it came with a card with a nail art suggestion of doing a french manicure with a twist. I've decided to give it a try, and it actually turned out quite interesting.

Polishes used:
- Julep Daphne as base
- Julep Kate on tips
- Julep Mila over tips

This was done free hand, so the tips looks a little uneven. Speaking of Maven, I hope their September box is good because I skipped August, and been wanting to buy polishes haha

Nail Art: Inspired by Jenny Kayne

Good morning everyone! Hope all is having a lovely Sunday. Today I have nail art inspired by Jenny Kayne for her Spring/Summer 2013 Fashion Week Presentation to share with you guys. There wee a lot of nail art for the Fashion week, but this one caught my eye the most.

I really like how it turned out. It looks different, and very fun. This look is perfect for summer, which I don't want to end yet. I felt like I haven't done much this summer, but work, work, work, and more work.

L'Oreal Swatches

Hey everyone! I apologized for the lack of update once again. I've been extremely busy and too tired to write some posts. But since I'm off for the weekend, I'll try to have a few posts scheduled.

Anyways, today I have L'Oreal swatches to share. I was browsing around Rite Aid one day and stumbled upon these. I forgot the name of the collection but I bought four of the five/six.

The Perfect Trench is a mustardy yellow creme. 2 coats. Very interesting color. Doesn't really suit my skin tone. I think it will look better on darker skin tones. I really like it though.

Rainy Piccadilly is a dark teal creme. 2 coats. Very smooth texture. Not something we haven't seen before, but still very nice.

Notting Hill Blues is a shimmery cornflower blue. 2 coats. This have slight hints of silver/light blue particles in it, giving it a nice shimmer.

Brit Invasion is a brown base with olive and golden shimmers. 2 coats. This is my favorite of the whole collection. I really love the golden shimmers in it, giving this brown and olive toned look.

I can't really remember, but I believe this is the first time I'm trying L'Oreal polishes, and I must say, I am quite satisfied with everything. The formula was smooth, the brush wasn't too thin or too thick. It applied nicely on my nails. Drying time seems to be decent as well (unlike Revlon polishes). The Perfect Trench was the one that caught my eye at first. I've been really into mustardy yellow tones (especially in clothes)

OPI DS Luxurious and DS Indulgence

Happy September! By the time you're reading this I am already on my little vacation! So hope all is well!

Today I have OPI's new designer series for the Fall to share with you.

DS Luxurious is a super bright orange base with golden shimmers. 2 coats. The gold shimmers make this polish look as if it's glowing. It's such a bright color, and it looks amazing on the nails.

DS Indulgence is a red base with gold shimmers. 2 coats. Again the gold shimmers make these polishes come to life (not literally).

I am SUPER happy with these two new designer series polishes. They are so much better compared to the previous ones. Although they're not holos, these two are still pretty amazing. My favorite from this happens to be Luxurious. I can't get over the fact how glowy this polish is in person. Luxurious is a definite must get!

The formula for these were as amazing as the color. It applied evenly with no fuss at all.
